Good day, Dan. I hope this finds you well.
Thank you for your support and help at Nortech Systems. During our work together we were able to
implement several improvements to supplier management in support of our ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
Quality Management Systems. Each of these improvements made the QMS stronger and highly
satisfying to customer audits for Applied Materials and GE.
You facilitated the implementation of balanced score cards for the 25 top suppliers, related to the key
factors of On-Time Delivery, Quality Score, and Easy-To-Do Business. These were issued quarterly and
low scoring suppliers were put on improvement plans or corrective actions. The overall supplier
scorecard averages improved from83%to89% in -15 months.
Additionally, you helped drive a stronger supplier on-boarding system by rolling out the Supplier
Surveys, on-boarding materials, and qualification requirements. The key supplier surveys were
improved from 11 to 24 in just 6 months.
Dan, you also supported the site audits for key suppliers. You selected the list of annual vendors to visit
based on surveys, scorecards, and quality input. The visits were arranged and audits conducted in
support of supplier management system. Any gaps found during those audits were again addressed
with improvement plans or corrective actions. The number of supplier audits went from 1 in 2013 to 8
in2014.
Each of these scorecards, surveys, and metrics were trended over time to drive improvement plans and
demonstrate continued performance. Thank you for making the supplier management system better
