I started working with data in a Physics research laboratory working with analog signals. I then moved into MRI research and my transition to industry work with data analytics and marketing. I consider myself a part of the new breed of analysts, exchanging Excel for Python and Pivot Tables for SQL with dashboards and Javascript. I have a keen interest in discovering signals in the digital social domain for marketing as well as finance. However, neuroscience is not a bad place to work with signals. Being back in medical research, there's opportunities to mine medical data that wouldn't be possible in private industry. I also enjoy integrating project management into my duties.
