5. SLAVERY

The majority of trafficking victims are between 18 and 24 years of
age.
43% of trafficked victims are used for forced commercial sexual

6. Between 14,500 and 17,500 VICTIMS are trafficked into the USA each year. The
CIA estimates 45,000-50,000 victims. –International Crisis Aid
Almost 300,000 American children are at risk for trafficking into the sex industry.
There are girls as young as 5 & 6 that are forced to do sexual acts for economic
gain by their pimp.
The total market of illicit human trafficking is estimated to be in excess of $32
billion.
Every TWO minutes a child is trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation in

7. It’s happening in your own backyard
The following 8 counties in Tennessee reported more than 100 cases of sex
trafficking: Shelby, Madison, Lawrence, Davidson, Coffee, Franklin, Hamilton,
and Knox. –Tennessee Bureau of Investigation
Seventy-eight counties in Tennessee representing 85% of the total counties in
the state reported at least one case of human sex trafficking in the last 24
months.
