• Sensitive to vibrations/movements in their
surroundings
•when alarmed, retreat into hiding (even
relinquishing captured prey!)

Minimise disturbances; setup tripod discretely
Increase working distance -- use 1.4x
Teleconvertor with lens
align lens such that both spider & prey falls
nto focal plane (within the dof)
start off with heavily compensated fill flash
eg -2 2/3 flash compensation) to avoid
overexposing the whites
