Mourn

却从未停止用美善的事证实自己的存在。常
施恩惠，降下甘霖，赏赐丰年，又叫你们衣食

Yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good
by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons,
satisfying your hearts with food and gladness. Acts 14:17
Happiness is a gift from God.

Blessed are they that mourn:

Deep sorrow

And he looked around at them with
anger, grieved at their hardness of heart

Synopsis: Why does God bless those who mourn? Jesus mourned
sin and the consequences of sin, reminding us that the reason we
mourn is because of sin in the world, among my brethren and
(especially?) my own sin. Such mourning reﬂects the seriousness of
our failure to be holy as he is holy and the devastation of sin in this
world.
