Body building training is something that is not always understood by everyone and
often viewed as some type of a foreign concept. Millions of people worldwide have
body building as a part of their lives and some even focus their life on it entirely.
In order for someone to understand body building they need to know what it is. Body

by the appearance of the contestants alone.
Many individuals have tried to get body building entered into the Olympics but
because there is discrepancy about whether or not it is a real sport, there is little to
no chance that it will ever make it in. Body building is more in tune with competitions
to see who can lift the most weight or strongman contests than with something such
as hockey or soccer for example which are clearly defined sports.
Body builders have to learn in which ways they need to contort their body in order for
specific muscle groups to appear larger in size and gain focus. As crazy as it may
sound, most bodybuilder spend roughly half their training time working on poses
instead of just building up the body. In order to win the competition the body’s
appearance is judged so this is a crucial part of the activity. Body building is
approached from a different angle depending on what the purpose for it is.
Bodybuilders who do it for personal satisfaction or esteem may not take it as
seriously as those who do it for competition.
Body building has two main types of people. The first group can gain muscle mass in
a steady but slow process and don’t have anything to stand in their way as a natural
hindrance to getting larger and gaining more muscle mass. Some people reach a
certain level of muscle mass in a very short time period and due to their natural body

These types of people are nicknamed ‘hard gainers’. It is incredibly difficult for them
to get any more muscle mass once the plateau is reached. Many bodybuilders who
hit this rock will do anything that is possible in order to get more muscle for their
personal satisfaction or what is needed for the contest. Once that level is hit and
accepted they can focus on making the muscle appear more defined in the body
instead of adding even more to it.
