The Challenge of Project Management
Professionals charged with managing global construction projects
are constantly challenged to stay up-to-date on every project. Con-
tractors, program managers and senior project executives with US
government agencies, United Nations agencies and NATO for ex-
ample, are juggling thousands of projects worth billions of dollars
worldwide; a significant challenge of initiatives.
Typical project progress reporting provides massive amounts of
information and creates a mountain of documents to review. And
these reports contain detailed project history―not up-to-the-minute
insight. It is also difficult to verify exactly where images and data
are generated and when they were recorded. Reports have to be
written, formatted and sent to executive management, so they are
always just a little behind the times.
Now there’s a way for field managers to provide real time re-
ports for projects, including time- and location-verified images
and data, quickly and easily, right to a desktop or cellphone.

2. The Vezde RMS Platform
The Vezde Remote Monitoring System (RMS) is a multi-user, closed
system, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application created to provide proj-
ect managers, owners, clients and other project stakeholders, real-time,
verifiable progress updates from project field locations.
Vezde RMS collects verifiable images and data from superintendents
and field users through mobile devices like the Apple iPhone and Android
phones. These images and project data are compiled to create project
reports which can be easily shared with stakeholders―via secure email
and the Vezde website. Vezde RMS gives project managers and owners
greater visibility into the progress of their projects, even when projects are
located many thousands of miles away.
The Vezde RMS platform is comprised of a simple, easy-to-use mobile
application combined with a secure, sophisticated back end web-based
administration portal and projects dashboard. This platform provides:
• Real time visibility on projects in remote and
challenging environments;
• Improved decision making ability, claims tracking, release of
payments, and contract adherence;
• Reduced time and effort traveling to remote sites for quick
in-person verifications;

Verified Image & Data Captures
Field personnel use the Vezde mobile app to capture time and spatially
verifiable images at the project site. An image capture, or VericaptTM
, is
easily and quickly made in a 5-step, 5-click process. A second process,
called VeriOne, reduces the capture to a single click. VeriOne captures
are supported by additional documentation from the web browser that can
be added later in the field or at the central office location. Four key data
components are captured:
• Who? - Who captured the data.
• What? - What is represented in the image.
• When? - The data/image are time-stamped as collected.
• Where? - A Geotag verifies the data/image GPS location.
Secure Captures From Anywhere
All Vezde image and data transfers maintain a high level of cyber securi-
ty using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). SSL ensures that all data passed
between the web servers and browsers remains private and integral.
SSL is the industry standard used by millions of websites to protect
online transactions. Vezde is built to perform in remote locations with
limited or unreliable mobile phone network coverage.
Vericapts taken while ‘on-network’ are immediately uploaded to the cloud
for real-time access through the web platform. Vericapts taken without
network coverage are cached on the mobile device and can be refreshed
by the user when a network or wi-fi signal is available.

4. Verifeed: Real Time Project Reports
Project Managers use the Vezde web application to view their projects
through the Projects Dashboard. By selecting an individual project a
manager sees all Vericapts submitted by all field users for the project.
This verifiable feed of data, or Verifeed, can be filtered for reports:
• Time Frame (day, week, month) • Capture Type
• Field User Name • Select/Hide to present only the desired Vericapts
Report filters can focus the data to only the most relevant for a specific
audience. Verifeed generates project reports as PDF files according to the
filters set by a manager. Each report page includes six VericaptsTM
, com-
plete with image, pinned map location, time and user comments. Manag-
ers should ensure that field users provide comments with each Vericapt.
The Verifeed Dashboard
Project executives stay up-to-the-minute on every project in their portfolio
using the simple and intuitive Verifeed dashboard. The dashboard allows
users to view the latest or all projects, go to a specific project, view Pend-
ing VeriOnes, or use global navigation for additional tools.

7. Vezde X is Where We’re Going.
Vezde X is a proposed new iteration of Vezde RMS that opens up the
user base to the public and brings the power of reporting to the hands of
community members. Vezde X is a new social platform that will be creat-
ed to function separately or along side Vezde RMS.
Vezde X is envisioned to shed light on what has too often been an
opaque industry. When a community can provide real-time feedback on
public works projects, involvement and accountability will go up. Trans-
parency will lower fraud and corruption.
Vezde X crowdsources accountability.
The Vezde X concept is simple, but aims to make an exponential impact.
When a new public project or development is initiated, the project is in-
putted into the Vezde system and appears on a map in the Vezde X app.
Any Vezde X user can then take a photo, or Vericapt™ of the project.
These images are verified through automatic time and GPS stamps and
users can add a comment and quality rating if they desire.
All captured images, commentary and ratings for a project are automati-
cally compiled into Monthly Transparency Reports that are made public.
Should a report reflect positive or negative commentary or ratings, these
reports will also be sent out to relevant stakeholders, alerting agencies
and private companies to any successes or problems with the project, as
reported by Vezde X users.
Vezde X users are empowered by having all submitted data well-ac-
counted for in month-end reports. All voices will be heard.
