Client: Majid Al Futtaim Properties. My City Centre Masdar is a
community mall for the Masdar City Master Planned Development with
an overall Site Area of 26,828 m2 for daily Retail shopping needs with F
& B Provisions. The Project include an Overall GFA of 26,900 m2 &
18,103 m2 of GLA distributed among Retail, F&B Outlets, Leisure spaces
& services. The Mall is anchored with Carrefour Hypermarket. Project is
targeting to achieve an Estidama 3 Pearl Rating, including compliance
with Masdar City specific KPI for environmental performance.
Etihad Accommodation (Al Merief), Abu Dhabi, UAE
Client: ALDAR. Al Merief Residential Apartments Plots have exclusively
Residential GFA with the appropriate ancillary community amenities and
FM spaces. Apartments will cater to Etihad senior management and
flight crew; the development shall provide efficient building layouts and
is focused on providing lower cost/higher value accommodation
solutions.

NWQ & Zone E3 Showrooms Yas Island, Abu Dhai, UAE
Client: ALDAR. This project is composed of two separate plots, Plot Zone E3 and Plot NWQ, on Yas
Island. Both plots will be developed for new car showrooms, with an element of F&B on Plot 1 Zone
E3 only.
Zone E3 shall incorporate three high-end new car showrooms. In addition to the Car Showrooms, a
high quality free-standing F&B outlet shall be developed with an automotive life style theme.
NWQ intended use is to accommodate mid-range to high-end new car showrooms. The Client’s vision
is to create a car retail park in Abu Dhabi to complement Motor World and other retail provisions in
Yas Island. This development will meet the demand requirements of car dealerships looking for
quality retail space in a prime location within Abu Dhabi.
National Disaster Recovery Center, Nizwa Oman
Client: Devoteam / Information Technology Authority of Oman. This is a 15,000 sq.m central data
recovery facility for the ITA in Oman. A national priority project, it is designed to Tier III standards
and has state of the art technology, it is the first of its kind in Oman and unique to the region. When
fully fitted out to its full expansion capacity it will be the second largest data center in the world
dedicated to data recovery with IT and physical security features that stands on par with the best in
world – Designed to satisfy requirements for LEE
Ras Al Hamra Development, Muscat, Oman
Client: Petroleum Development Oman. Five phase master plan to replace and supplement residential
units and refurbish / replace various community amenities; 1,067 new residential units as villas,
townhouses, and apartments to be developed in five phases. $900 Million USD Total Budget; New
community social / recreational club facilities; Refurbished and improved community golf course;
New mosque, and a New elementary & secondary school which obtained a LEED Silver Certification.
Najmat Plot C14 on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Client: Aabar Investments. Twenty-six story residential condominium tower with three story podium
containing retail, office, and roof-top amenities - designed for Estidama One Pearl Rating. $68 Million
USD Budget. Construction completed Q4 2012.
UAE Federal National Council New Building Competition, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Lead team through an invitation only design competition entry for the Federal National Council new
building complex.
Ghweifat Border Post, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Directed the team for the concept design of a new UAE border crossing station employing state of
the art technologies for non-stop border crossing processing.

In early 2005 returned to Altoon + Porter as Senior Associate to direct all aspects of multi-million
dollar commercial development projects in locations throughout the world. Primarily responsible for
client and public relations, negotiating project scope, schedule and fees and managing teams of
internal and consultant personnel throughout the design and documentation phases. Directing the
delivery of A+P design services for multiple retail / entertainment and mixed-use centers in Russia
and Ukraine valued at a total of more than $2B USD in investment value.
David also led the development and management of green building resources of the firm. Green
building courses were developed and are offered under the auspices of A+P University. Under David’s

substantial first-cost savings while also qualifying for incentives from the Savings by Design
Program.
∗ Challenged to integrate new and existing fire and life safety systems to enable permitting of an
extremely complex two million square foot, $300 million retail center in Las Vegas, Nevada;
worked closely with building officials, code experts and stakeholders to devise a cost-effective
compliance plan.
