I am a MCSE, MCP+I, and CNA certified Senior Network Engineer with over twenty-five years of experience. I have a solid background designing,
installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting networks with emphasis on Windows based TCP/IP networks. I also have extensive
experience with complete installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Intel-based computers. Furthermore, I have experience managing
employees and am quick to learn and adapt easy to new tools, tasks, and technologies. I am creative and think outside the box when creating
solutions to problems and in addition to my technical skills, I have excellent customer service and communication skills as well.
CABLING EXPERIENCE
Fiber: I have designed, troubleshot, spliced (fusion & mechanical), repaired, and run fiber optic cable and have worked with single-mode and
multimode fiber and LC, SC, ST end connectors.
Copper: I have designed, troubleshot, repaired, and run copper cable and have worked extensively with Cat3 through Cat6 cable in data and phone
applications, coax cable, and a variety of audio/visual cables. Additionally, I have experience terminating on all the common panel and jack types.
Tools: I work with and own a fiber splicer (Fitel S153A), as well as the hand tools to mechanically splice fiber, basic testing tools to test fiber
including the Fluke SimpliFiber Pro, Fluke VisiFault visual fault locator, and multiple types of cleaning tools. My copper test equipment experience
includes the Fluke Microscanner Pro, various cable verifiers, and multi-meters. Additionally I have worked with the common hand tools used for
terminating copper cable and own and use a core drill, multiple drills & saws of various types.
