WORKING PRACTICE I have been taken through induction and orientation ensuring I am able to work safely in the building, with awareness of the necessary safety procedures. I have to follow strict NHS regulations for data security and confidentiality, which requires me to encrypt emails. Clearly – confidentiality is imperative – given the nature of personal information I handle. It is my first experience in a large office setting – and an interesting insight into the responsibilities of the individual and company to ensure a safe and efficient workplace. It is important to be punctual, polite, well presented and to be as efficient and accurate as possible. When in doubt – need to ask early for help, rather than waste time in a wrong direction. I am concentrating on engaging with colleagues and to support a friendly and collaborative working environment.
