In INDIA, I had procured a "Tablet Phone" for INR 21,000 in 2012 and
faced a situation in 2014 to pay INR 6,000 to get an issue fixed in USB
charging socket (which by design cannot be replaced separately as it is
part of the Tablet's motherboard) - the service center representative
indicated replaced components have only 3 months of warranty and even
recommended purchasing a new phone instead.

2 Phone Model is Active in
Manufacturing line
With New version of phones manufactured and released into market,
following are issues for us as consumers and hence, need to procure
Phones that are still Active in Manufacturing line:
a. Lack of immediate availability of components
b. Low resale / exchange value
c. Availability of next version of the phone

3 Accessibility of Service
Centers
Lack of Service Centers nearby my location (to get "Tablet Phone"
checked) lead me to search for hours (that could have been spent on more
productive things) and hence, the need for "Accessibility of Service
Centers"

4 Active App Market
Ecosystem
Android, iOS & Windows phones have an active App Market ecosystem.
With App Market having both Consumer Focused & Enterprise Mobile
Web Apps, need the Mobile Phone to provide accessibility to "Active App
Market Ecosystem"

5 High Storage (8 GB+) Bigger App Market Ecosystem leads to availability of large number of Apps
to download and hence, need for larger storage. For example, if we are
preparing for Marathon / in general like to keep healthy, we would try Apps
like RunKeeper to keep track of distance covered, speed, etc and hence,
"High Storage" as a criteria

6 High speed (1 GHz+) With each new version of phone released in market, speed continous to
increase and Newer Apps sometimes require this speed to run correctly
and hence, "High Speed" as a criteria

7 Higher Resolution High resolution bring ability to see more content in smaller sized display 7
8 Longer battery life (2000

We love to use phone to read books, browse internet, check emails, play
games, etc and a battery with higher capacity would be great -especially,
when we travel long distance and there is no facility to charge phone
frequently but still want to do all this and hence, "Longer Battery life" as a
criteria
