Solar air heating is a solar thermal technology in which the energy from the sun, insolation, is captured by an absorbing medium and used to heat air.[1] Solar air heating is a renewable energy heating technology used to heat or condition air for buildings or process heat applications. It is typically the most cost-effective out of all the solar technologies, especially in commercial and industrial applications, and it addresses the largest usage of building energy in heating climates, which is space heating and industrial process heating.Solar air heaters (SAHs) are major component of solar energy utilization system which absorb the incoming solar radiation, converts it into thermal energy, and transfers the heat energy to a fluid flowing through the absorber plate. Solar air heaters have been employed to deliver heated air at low to moderate temperatures for space heating, crop drying and other industrial applications [1]. The lower thermal efficiency is main drawback of SAH. One of the reasons of poor thermal efficiency of flat plate solar air heater is lower heat transfer coefficient between air and absorber plate [2]. The use of artificial roughness in air heater duct is a wellknown method to create turbulence near the absorber plate and enhances the heat transfer coefficient and consequently the rate of heat transfer between absorber plate and air flowing through duct. Artificial roughness at upper side of the absorber plate breaks the viscous sub-layer and thus creates turbulence adjacent to the surface of the absorber plate which results in enhanced heat transfer coefficient and thereby the thermal efficiency [3]. Different configurations of SAHs have been developed with different rib roughness on the absorber plate in shape, size, and arrangement in order to improve the performance of SAHs.

Normally, the character of the wind energy as a renewable energy sources has uncertainty in generation. To resolve the Optimal Power Flow (OPF) drawback, this paper proposed a replacement Hybrid Multi Objective Artificial Physical Optimization (HMOAPO) algorithmic rule, which does not require any management parameters compared to different meta-heuristic algorithms within the literature. Artificial Physical Optimization (APO), a moderately new population-based intelligence algorithm, shows fine performance on improvement issues. Moreover, this paper presents hybrid variety of Animal Migration Optimization (AMO) algorithmic rule to express the convergence characteristic of APO. The OPF drawback is taken into account with six totally different check cases, the effectiveness of the proposed HMOAPO technique is tested on IEEE 30-bus, IEEE 118-bus and IEEE 300-bus check system. The obtained results from the HMOAPO algorithm is compared with the other improvement techniques within the literature. The obtained comparison results indicate that proposed technique is effective to succeed in best resolution for the OPF drawback.

In this study, the hydrogen production potential and costs by using wind/electrolysis system were considered. In order to evaluate costs and quantities of produced hydrogen, number of wind-turbines and hub heights are considered as the variable Levelized cost of electricity method was used in order to determine the cost analysis of wind energy and hydrogen production. The results of calculations brought out that the electricity costs of the wind turbines and hydrogen production costs of the electrolyzers are decreased with the increase of turbine hub height. The maximum hydrogen production quantity was obtained 1420KWh/year.

ABSTRACT: The performance analysis of Shobra El-Khima power plant in Cairo, Egypt is presented based on energy and exergy analysis to determine the causes , the sites with high exergy destruction , losses and the possibilities of improving the plant performance. The performance of the plant was evaluated at different loads (Full, 75% and, 50 %). The calculated thermal efficiency based on the heat added to the steam was found to be 41.9 %, 41.7 %, 43.9% , while the exergetic efficiency of the power cycle was found to be 44.8%, 45.5% and 48.8% at max, 75% and, 50 % load respectively. The condenser was found to have the largest energy losses where (54.3%, 55.1% and 56.3% at max, 75% and, 50 % load respectively) of the added energy to the steam is lost to the environment. The maximum exergy destruction was found to be in the turbine where the percentage of the exergy destruction was found to be (42%, 59% and 46.1% at max, 75% and, 50 % load respectively). The pump was found to have the minimum exergy destruction. It was also found that the exergy destruction in feed water heaters and in the condenser together represents the maximum exergy destruction in the plant (about 52%). This means that the irreversibilities in the heat transfer devices in the plant have a significant role on the exergy destruction. So, it is thought that the improvement in the power plant will be limited due to the heat transfer devices.

In this paper new topologies and interleaving modulation concepts for multilevel DC-DC boost converter enabling a significantly less loss and a reduced chip size of the power semiconductors are proposed. The distributed generation (DG) systems based on the renewable energy sources have rapidly developed in recent years. These DG systems are powered by micro sources such as fuel cells, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and batteries. Fuel cells are considered to be one of the most promising sources of distributed energy because of their high efficiency, low environmental impact and scalability. Non-isolated high step-up DC-DC converters are required in the industrial applications. Many of these conventional DC–DC converters have the disadvantages of operating at high duty-cycle, high switch voltage stress and high diode peak current. A three-level step up converter is implemented to boost the fuel cell stack voltage of 96V to 340V. The proposed converter consists a system of fuel cell based Multilevel DC-DC converter with PI controller is modeled and simulated by using Matlab/Simulink.

In the thrilling conclusion to 2023, ransomware groups had a banner year, really outdoing themselves in the "make everyone's life miserable" department. LockBit 3.0 took gold in the hacking olympics, followed by the plucky upstarts Clop and ALPHV/BlackCat. Apparently, 48% of organizations were feeling left out and decided to get in on the cyber attack action. Business services won the "most likely to get digitally mugged" award, with education and retail nipping at their heels. Hackers expanded their repertoire beyond boring old encryption to the much more exciting world of extortion. The US, UK and Canada took top honors in the "countries most likely to pay up" category. Bitcoins were the currency of choice for discerning hackers, because who doesn't love untraceable money?
