There is one thing I do everyday as business owner...solve problems! I like many of you face problems everyday in business. If you own a business, you've got some kind of problem. Problems are attracted to people who are trying to grow their business because we're trying to do something better, more efficiently or more cost effectively. I am a practical problem solver for small business. We've all heard how you eat an elephant, one bite at a time. I've turned elephant sized problems into a bite size process. Owning 3 businesses with a previous 10 years experience in Corporate Quality Engineering with of the world's largest carpet manufacturers, I learned theory must meet practical problem solving or you're not moving forward. I can't wait to share my new book full of innovative, problem solving ideas it with you.
I love sharing what I've learned with other small businesses and entrepreneurs as a professional speaker through keynotes, workshops, event breakout sessions and retreats. Let's connect and get busy solving problems!
1. DeniseReed.is a practical problem solver. Steve Jobs said,“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” You can
choose which you are by solving problems and finding the best answers for the problems you face. Denise is a positive example of
local innovative leadership as an accomplished business woman, curiously vivacious, and passionate about helping small
businesses succeed – especially for women.
She lives the modern day “Green Acres” story with businesses downtown allowing her to travel the globe, and in the rural Tennes-
see countryside with her husband. She loves sharing what she’s learned with other small businesses and entrepreneurs as a
professional speaker through keynotes, workshops, event breakout sessions and retreats. She is owner of The Concierge Office
Suites, Chattanooga's premier full-service office space, established in the central business district of downtown since 1995. She
also manages a commercial broiler chicken farm, Wing and a Prayer, with 150k birds every eight weeks with her husband. This
business mashup along with her professional speaking is what keeps things exciting and propels her ideas to lift off the ground.
She’s actively involved in the local business community with leadership roles in numerous associations and civic organizations
through the years. She’s served as Chairperson for the Chattanooga Chamber Small Business Awards. She’s been featured in
Entrepreneur, Chattanooga Magazine, Chattanoogan.com, along with many other publications and media. The Tennessee Small
Business Development Center awarded her in 2008 the "Rising Star Business" of the year. She is poised to share her message of
practical problem solving around the world.
She speaks from 25+ years of business experience managing projects, staff, contractors and resources to meet client needs. Her
business experience along with an Associates’ Degree in Advertising and Bachelor's Degree in Business Organization propel her
into public speaking for business and projects she's passionate about. She is a curious and consistent communicator through
social media generating business connections around the world. She never meets a stranger and considers the next business
introduction an opportunity to make a difference. She’s a consummate researcher and networking addict of ways to connect
businesses, resources, and social media. Growing up in an entrepreneurial family with her father being a research chemist and
having 10 years experience in Corporate Quality Engineering with one of the world's largest carpet manufacturers, she learned
theory must meet practical problem solving or you're not moving forward. She thrives on bringing together the right people with
the best skills to improve a process and the “bottom line.”
Denise’s favorite quote is by T.E. Lawrence,“All men dream but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their
minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dream
with open eyes to make it possible.” She believes innovation is an everyday experience. With innovation comes problem solving.
She wants to share some practical techniques and processes to work through perceived obstacles, consider the “what’s possible,”
and provide a clear the path for “what’s best for you.”
THEORY IS USELESS UNTIL IT MEETS PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION.
