2. Jain International School Nagpur Jain International School, Nagpur is the dream project of Sir Shantilal Badjate Charitable Trust, Nagpur. The school is located amidst lush green environs spread over a sprawling 43 acres campus on Katol Road just 12 km from the Zero Mile stone. The school launched on 20th June, 2006 has classes from I – X. The most advanced, state-of-the-art infrastructure and international and standard academic and sports facilities, are the pride of the school.

3. A Drive Against Plastic bags The Jain International School, Nagpur identified the problem of the use of plastic bags in the city. The shopkeepers supply the customers with polythene bags to carry the purchased goods. Our school selected the project to discourage the people to use of plastic bags. The wasted newspapers were used for making paper bags. In this way there was considerable use of the old and discarded newspapers. The students educated the shopkeepers and made them aware about the disadvantages of the use of plastic bags and exchanged them with the paper bags.

5. The Shopkeeper is being handed over paper bags in a general store. He has been informed about the hazards of using plastic bags.. Sawni Gupta (Class VII) handing over paper bags to the shopkeeper

6. Bhumi Khobragade (Class VI) handing over paper bags to the owner of a general store. She exchanged the paper bags with the plastic bags.

7. The road side vendors also willingly participated in the Design for Change. They also promised to spread the message against the use of plastic bags.

8. Mr. Jai Prakash congratulates the students for promotion of paper bags. He expressed his gratitude towards the school.

9. SakshiBhojwani (Class VI) handed over paper bags to the local vendor . He promised to refuse the plastic bags in future and also apprise other vendors about refusal to plastic bags.

10. Rashi Mohta (Class VI) explains while handing over the paper bags to the wholesale vendor about the harmful effects of plastic bags. The vendor is happy to exchange the plastic bags with paper bags

11. Rashi Mohta (VI) explained about the use of paper bags. She discouraged the vendors from using plastic bags..

12. ApoorvaBharadwaj explains to Ms. Laxmi the alternative to plastic bags.
