2. The Cotopaxi volcano is located in the
Central Cordillera of the Ecuadorian
Andes. to 62 km. northeast of Latacunga,
75 km southeast of Quito. Limits:
Northeast Sincholagua the extinct
volcano, and Rumiñahui west, the
southeast Quilindaña.
3. Attractive
• Sunfana Viewpoint: Since
there are observed vast pine
forests on Sunfana Plain, at the
foot of the gazebo. A short
walk in about 30 minutes from
the central administration or in
vehicle; exists a campsite
there and if you follow the
path length by about two
hours you reach the Volcano
Rumiñahui.
4. The Cotopaxi Volcano has an exotic
dry microclimate that allows its rise
during most of the year. Starting from
the 4,800 meters in approximately 6 to
8 hours, you can reach the foot of the
impressive crater half a kilometer
wide and astonished by the
spectacular
