Project #1: Improved Radio Altimeter (I-RAM) for LCA Mk2

Description: The RAM is ‘C’ band FMCW Radio Altimeter, which works in the frequency
band of 4.2 to 4.4 GHz and provides Altitude information of the aircraft from the terrain
over which it is flying. The Radio Altimeter transmits FMCW signal and captures the
reflected signal from the terrain.
• Post flight Video & Bus data analysis checking height validity

2. Project #2: LED based Wing Navigation and Taxi Landing Lights for LCA Mk2

Description: The purpose of Wing Navigation lights is to provide an indication about
aircraft position for identification. The purpose of Taxi Landing lights is to illuminate the
forward zone in front of aircraft during taxiing and landing.
• Study and development of Spec for LED navigation and Taxi Landing lights
• Functionality testing like Light output measurement and installation checks on
the aircraft
• Performing Acceptance Testing (ATP) and preparation of test summary report

lights, Integrally Lit Cockpit Panel Flood lights.
