The Brickpit Ring Bridge in Sydney Olympic Parklands, Australia is a 550m circular aerial walkway 18.5m above an excavated shale and limestone quarry. It consists of a 2.4m wide steel ring supported by 26 vertical footings placed at 20m intervals around the quarry floor. The bridge deck is made of 150mm hollow core concrete planks on a steel frame structure, and is supported by a braced cruciform structure with cables and a modular aluminum panel system.
