Back in September 2012, we
     started talking about
     developing, “a „matrix‟ of
     digital engagement tools”

The aim was to help policy
           makers identify platforms and
           tools that could help them
           engage or consult more
           effectively.

It was decided that the Matrix
           should be the showcasing
           tool.

     be presented in the context of
     the open policy making
     engagement or consultation
     exercises they were used in

  • 3. Back in September 2012, we started talking about developing, “a „matrix‟ of digital engagement tools” 10/17/12 3 GDS
  • 4. The aim was to help policy makers identify platforms and tools that could help them engage or consult more effectively. 10/17/12 4 GDS
  • 5. It was decided that the Matrix should be the showcasing tool. 10/17/12 5 GDS
  • 6. To add real value, it was thought that these tools should be presented in the context of the open policy making engagement or consultation exercises they were used in 10/17/12 6 GDS
  • 7. Several policy makers contributed case studies detailing how they used various digital tools to support their open policy making efforts 10/17/12 7 GDS
  • 8. Neatly filed under the „Case studies‟ tab 10/17/12 8 GDS

Please comment on the functionality of the Matrix illustrated in this presentation You might want to consider if: - the content filters are appropriate or whether there are glaring omissions? - the „tool bio.‟ page (see slide 24) covers the kinds of things you‟d want to know? - the case study page incorporates the relevant information? - There‟s anything missing? 10/17/12 27 GDS

Your thoughts and ideas on the things that haven‟t been covered such as: - The functionality of the forms for contributing case studies and tool bios haven‟t been shown - The rules for commenting on or rating the case studies and tools.
