2. STEAM (Vapor)
It is state of substance in which evaporation is not complete from
its liquid state.
GAS
It is state in which there is complete vaporation of liquid.
3. The Saturation Temperature is defined as the temperature
at which the water begins to boil at the stated pressure.
4. The amount of heat required to raise the temperature of
1 kg of water 0c To Tc at a given pressure is known as the
Sensible Heat.
The heat being supplied does not show any rise of
temperature but changes water into vapor state and is
called Latent Heat.
The temperature of the steam above the saturation
temperature at a given pressure is called Superheated
Temperature. During this process of heating, the dry
steam will be heated from its dry state, and this process
is called Superheating. The steam when superheated is
called Superheated Steam.
