legislature. It is the one and only State Open University in Uttar Pradesh. This University was named after Bharat Ratn
Rajarshi Purushottam Das Tandon, an illustrious son of India from Allahabad who made great sacrifices for the sake of our
independence and dedicated himself to the cause of Hindi as a National Language. The jurisdiction of this University is
entire state of Uttar Pradesh with 10 regional centers and about more than 650 study centers. The University has embossed a
niche for itself among the premier academic institutions of open learning and distance education. This University conducts
its academic activities through a diversity of means of distance and long-lasting education, and functions in cooperation
with the existing Universities, Colleges and Institutions of higher learning, and makes full use of the infrastructure of these
organizations. The courses offered by UPRTOU are recognized by the joint committee of UGC, AICTE and DEB. The
University offers wide range of educational programmes related to general & professional education, training, research and
extension work through open and distance learning. The University started functioning from the session 1999-2000 with
3481 distance learners. In the current session i.e. session 2015-2016 more than 65,000 distance learners have been enrolled
for 83 academic programmes at its study centers. The head quarter of the University is situated at Shantipuram Sector-F,
Phaphamau, Allahabad which is well equipped with good infrastructure facilities like Buildings, Library, Wi-Fi network,
Guest House, Media Centre campus etc.
About Allahabad
Allahabad is the one of traditional cities of the world having enriched with splendid history. City is situated at the confluence of
Holy Rivers Ganga and Yamuna, called Triveni Sangam due to invisible Swaraswati. Every year in the month of January Magh
Mela is organized at Sangam while every 6th
year Ardh Kumbh and every 12th
year Maha Kumbh (Biggest gala of the World) is
organized. It is one of the fastest growing cities in India. The city is also known as ‘Prayag’ or ‘Tirth Raj’. It is located 201 Km
North - East of the state capital Lucknow, 121 Km East from spiritual city Varanasi, 199 Km North - West from industrial city
Kanpur and 423 Km. West from the Historical city Jhansi. Allahabad has an area of about 70 sq. km. and is 98 mt. (332ft) above
sea level. The city temperature at February is between 20o
C - 25o
C. Allahabad is the educational hub of the country since ancient
period. This city has number of world reputation educational institutes and historical places.

About the Conference
Nanotechnology is the innovatory technology
introduced in the modern world following the Industrial
Revolution, Nuclear Energy Revolution, Green Revolutions,
Information Revolution, Biotechnology Revolution. So, a
revolution of present 21st
century is happening in science and
technology based on the ability to measure, control and
organize matter on the nano scale i.e., 1 to 100 billionth of a
meter. At the nano scale, Chemistry, Physics, Biology,
Material Science and Engineering converge toward the same
principles and tools. As a result, progress in nano science and
nanotechnology will have very far-reaching impact.
Nanochemistry, presents a unique approach to
building devices with a molecular-scale precision. One can
imagine the advantages of nanodevices in medicine,
computing, scientific exploration, and electronics, where
nanochemistry offers the promise of building objects atom by
atom. The main challenges is to fully utilization of
nanochemistry centres & understanding new rules of
behavior, as nanoscale systems lie at the threshold between
classical and quantum behavior and exhibit behaviors that do
not exist in larger devices.
Span of nanochemical systems covers many areas,
from the study of the interactions of individual atoms and
how to manipulate them, how to control chemical reactions at
an atomic level, to the study of larger molecular assemblies,
such as dendrimers, clusters, and polymers. From studies of
assemblies of new structures such as nanotubes, nanowires,
three-dimensional molecular assemblies and lab-on-a-chip
devices for separations and biological research have been
developed.
In the field of bio-science Statistics plays an
important role to improve the results with scientific analysis
of the data through traditional methods and recent Statistical
Softwares. Statistical methods used in the application for
research and development are very important in the various
areas.
The main aim of this conference is to expand the fundamental knowledge and show the importance of this fascinating subject to the
young generation through the participants and to show the advancements made by Nanosciences in technology and how Governments
and major corporations around the world have been committing billions of funds for the advancement of this continually mounting
field. been committing billions of funds for the advancement of this continually mounting field.
Thrust Area
1. Synthesis of Nanomaterials and Applications of Nanotechnology
2. Nano Catalysis: Emerging Concepts and Applications
