Product Head
Faircent.com is a leading P2P curated marketplace in India. It brings together borrowers and lenders; borrowers are
funded through a reverse bidding process and lenders are paid back through simple EMIs.
• Product Head for the website, mobile site and mobile app. Understand the alternative lending space in India, its
regulations, boundaries and players to device product strategies and long-term roadmaps, analyze detailed
requirements and drive product release cycles and roll-outs. Lead a team of product managers, user experience
designers and quality control members to conceptualize, design and drive detailed product requirements and track
projects to completion. Validate consumer requirements through interviews, meetings and collaborating with cross-
functional teams including technology, sales, marketing, business management and customer care for roll-outs and
adoption.
o Setup the data analytics team with a data scientist and data analyst to make data driven product
decisions. This team was then centralized and used by other teams in the organization like Risk &
Collections to predict borrower behaviors etc.
o Setup R & Python test and cutover environments
o Released to production Algorithm driven products like Lender Rating and Auto bidding which
increased the lender disbursements on the platform by 20% and reduced the borrower funding
TAT from 30days to 2 days

Led the $9m initiative, starting from running product and vendor selection process, vendor contract

setting up transition for vendor, support SLAs etc. Helped Sales teams to reengineer sales processes to increase

hours and Admin support hours
• Product & Delivery Lead for Finance Product & Services organization which included products ranging
from Oracle ERP to Stellent. Led a team of 65 developers, architects, business analysts, and testers being
single point of contact for all Finance and IT stakeholders including CFO and CIO. Reduced operational costs
by 20% YOY by continuous improvements, standardization of services offered. Moved the CSAT score to 4.5
from 2.5 (out of 5) for the Finance product & services organization. Created & Maintained the budget Capex
and Opex spends and all vendor payments. Implemented a scalable and robust capacity based service delivery

support staff to design key software features and technical frameworks. Successfully initialized a $1m +
project and set-up all processes for CMMI Level 5 compliance. Built a team of 30 members in 4 weeks,

Product Manager
• Product Manager ‘Orange Wedensdays’. Active Media was the technical implementation and support partner for
Orange, the telco in UK to provide a mobile coupon product RAPOS (Redemption at Point Of Sale) in the year
2001-02. RAPOS was a combination of hardware and software that allowed for fraud-free, real-time mobile
3. coupons, vouchers and tickets. This product was rolled out to approx 600 cinemas in UK and around 2,400 RAPOS
terminals were installed in all the 600 cinemas. The product was branded as “Orange Wednesdays”. Managed and
coordinated the more than $1million Product Launch, Successful launch within specified timeframe. Handled the
product roll out right from setting up the Project Plan, changing requirement to scope, mapping requirements to test
cases, provided input and direction for QA, usability assessment, test plans and strategies. Forecasted risks and
planned out risk management scenarios. Set up various internal and external operational processes and systems, Set
up proper coordination channels between development, testing and requirement gathering teams. Set up of Technical
support system/Call Centre for the project, which could be shared for all other RAPOS implementations.
