2. What is Colorism?
It is a term that was coined in 1980’s to describe discrimination based
on the skin tone.
Colorism occurs within the rational groupings.
This is relatively a new social issue.
This is an issue that we see on an International scale.

3.  Our society has an obsession with white skin.
 We saw it in Africa during the slave trade ,where people with darker skin were ascribed as lower
monetary.
 Even today in matrimonial sites before they asked about girls education or economic status, they
request a bride with fair skin.
 Beauty is a subjective experience. Its not restricted to particular color or shape.
 Its rooted in how someone makes you feel.
“BROWN IS BEAUTIFUL”.

5.  I am not sorry for having some extra melanin.
 I couldn’t care less about your opinion on my skin.
 Its dark and beautiful, It glows in the sun.
 Bleaching creams are disgusting so is the “COLORISM”.
WHY ALL BEAUTY BRANDS FOCUSES TOO MUCH ON “WHITE” ?
