Image Processing
1) 360° scan of tyre sidewall
2) Filtering sidewall supresses:
 Curvature
 Run-out
 Noise
 Rubber flashes
3) Show sidewall structure as gray scale
 About 4000 scan lines at 360°
 Up to 1500 pixel for each scan line
 Scan time 3 – 7 sec.
(depending on resolution, tyre diameter)
