4. First, Elysia was asked to study her Happy Birthday Bandana for a few seconds. Then, she was blindfolded with it and Ron talked with her for a few minutes about her background and career goals.
5. Elysia’s First Challenge Next, Elysia was asked to describe the bandana. She was also asked to specify the color of the Happy Birthday, the confetti, the presents and the balloons.
7. Studying The Bandana Simone was asked to study the bandana and provide Elysia with feedback on the accuracy of her answers.
8. Elysia’s Second Challenge Lotion Ring Elysia received Challenge #1 feedback (above). For the second challenge (right) Ron applied some lotion to Eysia’s right hand and asked her what was on her right hand. She correctly responded lotion. Then Ron touched her left hand and asked her what was on her left hand. Elyse required approximately five trials to respond correctly.

11. Introducing Details Activity Star Dr. Cathleen Greenan First, Cathleen was asked to study her Happy Birthday Bandana for a few seconds. Then, she was blindfolded with it and Ron talked with her for a few minutes about her background and teaching at Dutchess Community College (where Cathleen teaches and Ron once taught)
12. Next, Cathleen was asked to describe the bandana. She was also asked to specify the color of the Happy Birthday, the confetti, the presents and the balloons.

The Revealing Dr. Cynthia Prehar preparing to provide and providing Dr. Cathleen Greenan with feedback on the contents of her bandana (left). ------------------------------- For Cathleen’s second challenge (next page) Ron placed some lotion on Cathleen’s right hand for her to identify. After Cathleen smelled her hand she reported that it contained lotion. Ron then touched her left hand and asked Cathleen what was on her left hand. She replied “nothing” repeatedly. After the additional clue of placing a cloth ring on Cathleen’s right hand and several additional trials she replied correctly.
