The Association of Unani Physicians, Bihar organized the Jan Jan Unani health awareness program in West Champaran district. [1] Top officials of AUP paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Bhitiharwa Gandhi Ashram to begin the program. [2] The inaugural event was held on January 30th at Shams Teachers Training College and was attended by thousands, providing health checkups, medicine and raising awareness on preventing non-communicable diseases. On the auspicious occasion of World Unani Day, AUP Bihar is organizing a
series of Health Awareness Programs cum Health Camps entitled Jan Jan
Unani in every district of Bihar. It begins from the West Champaran to the
humble homage of Mahatma Gandhi on Martyrs Day. The inaugural program
was organized on 30 January 2023 at Shams Teachers Training College,
West Champaran. Mr. Saurav Kumar, Honorable Member of the legislative
assembly, Bihar was the Chief guest. Dr.Arvind Kumar, Senior Oncologist of
Bihar was the guest of honor and Mol. Anisur Rahman Qasmi, Vice President
of All India Milli Council was a special guest of this program. Thousands of
people get benefited from this program. a large number of Doctors,
intellectuals, political leaders, and general people participated in the
program.

Thousands of patients visit Jan Jan Unani’s Health Camp at west Champaran.
The major cowed stall was Unani OPD, Hijamah, awareness of Non-
communicable diseases, and introduction to local herbal medicine. Other than
these stalls, patients also get benefits from orthopedic, Dental, and
Gynecological OPD.

Dr. Nasrul Hoda, Assistant Professor,
Department of Surgery, GTCH, Patna
superannuated on 31 December 2022. He
served the institute for three decades. He also
served as Registrar, Ayurvedic, and Unani
Registration Council, Patna. His farewell was
organized by GTCH faculties in the seminar
hall of the institute. Dr. Nasural Hoda was born
on 3rd December 1956 in the Madhubani
District of Bihar. His father was an allopathic
doctor. Dr. Hoda completed his elementary
education in his native village. In 1977 he got
admitted in Course of Bachelor of Unani
Medicine and Surgery that was completed in
the year 1984 from Government Tibbi College,
Patna. After completing his Bachelor's degree,
he joined as an Unani medical officer in the
Government of Bihar. On 8th November 2002,
he joined as a lecturer in the department of
surgery at Government Tibbi College, Patna.

Dr. Geyasuddin was born on 16th January 1956 at
Phulwari sharif, Patna. He completed his elementary
education at Khankah Mujeebiyah, Phulwari Sharif.
He completed his Bachelor's in Unani medicine and
surgery from Government Tibbi College, Patna in the
year 1979. On 22nd April 1983, he joined govt. of Bihar
as an Unani Medical officer in State Unani Dispensary
Garhi, Jamui. On 21 February 1992, he transferred to
Govt Tibbi College & Hospital Patna, later he served
as Vice Principal in the same institute. He was a
professor in the department of surgery. He has
authored a book entitled "Rahnumai Moalij Ain Uzn
Anf Wa Halaq" that was awarded by Bihar Urdu
Academy in year 1999. He retired from the
Government Tibbi College, Patna, on 31st January
2023.

9. The first issue of AUP’s Newsletter has
inaugurated on 2nd January 2023 at the
Conference Hall of Government Tibbi College,
Patna, Dr.Tauheed Kibria, Principal of the GTCH,
has formally inaugurated the digital issue of the
newsletter. On this occasion, students, Research
Scholars, Teachers, and officials of AUP were
present. Dr. Shabistan Fatma Taiyabi has edited
the first issue of AUP's newsletter.

In every district a seminar is going to educate people about the prevention of non-
communicable diseases.
Awareness program cum Health camps (including free health checkups and
medicine ) are going on in every district of Bihar.

West Champaran, and began the Jan Jan Unani. The inaugural program was

West Champaran. The Chief guest of the program was Honourable Dr. Shamim
Ahmad, Minister of Law, Government of Bihar. On this occasion, Dr.Arvind Kumar, a
Famous oncologist was the guest of Honour, and Mol. Anisur Rahman Qasmi, the
National vice president of All India Milli Council, was the special guest at the event.
