Constitution  Unit  AMENDMENTS 11 THROUGH 27
11th Amendment ,[object Object],A state government can be sued only in it’s own courts.
12th Amendment ,[object Object],Electors vote for President and Vice President on separate ballots.
13th Amendment ,[object Object],Slavery is abolished, or made illegal, in the United States.
14th Amendment ,[object Object],Every citizen of the United States is also a citizen of the state in which he or she lives. No state may pass a law limiting the rights of citizens or take away a person’s life, liberty, or property unfairly. Every person must be treated equally under the law
15th Amendment ,[object Object],No person may be denied the right to vote because of race.
16th Amendment ,[object Object],Congress has the right to tax people’s incomes.
17th Amendment ,[object Object],United States senators are elected directly by the people of their states.
18th Amendment ,[object Object],Bans the manufacture, sale or transportation of any alcohol in the United States.
19th Amendment Gives women the right to vote in elections. ,[object Object],[object Object]
21st Amendment ,[object Object],Erases the 18th amendment – the prohibition of alcohol.
22nd Amendment ,[object Object],Limits a President to two consecutive terms of office.
23rd Amendment ,[object Object],People who live in Washington, D.C, have the right to vote for President and Vice President.
24th Amendment ,[object Object],No citizen may be made to pay a tax in order to vote for President, Vice President, senator, or representative. X
25th Amendment ,[object Object],Sets up the order for replacing the President in case there is a death or illness.
26th Amendment ,[object Object],Gives all 18 year olds the right to vote in elections
27th Amendment ,[object Object],Any increase in pay for legislators must take place after an election.
