Understanding dementia among UK Bangladeshi
The University of Portsmouth and the University of Worcester are jointly conducting this research study. This qualitative research is a self-funded doctoral level research programme. This research has received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.We would like to invite you to take part. Thank you! We want to find out a new knowledge and understanding of the attitudes, perceptions, and beliefs of the Bangladeshi community about dementia and increase awareness and understanding of dementia among Bangladeshi communities in the UK.We would like to include people from Bangladeshi or British Bangladeshi background; South Asian or British South Asian backgrounds. We aim to explore the influence of culture, religion and language on your experiences. Taking part in this study is voluntary. If you agree to take part, a member of our research team will meet you for an interview. This interview will be like a relaxed conversation, and will last about an hour.
