Key Accomplishments
Leadership Training and Development: Developed Leadership Speaker Series that utilized volunteer board
members and community leaders as weekly trainers for fulltime employees within the organization. Twenty-
eight full time professionals have participated in the program since its establishment in 2009. Developed and
implemented a yearly training matrix for fulltime and part-time employees that resulted in the creation of the Be
Great Conference for Phoenix-area professionals; more than 100 employees participated in this program and
management quality improvement program.
Financial Management:Expanded focus on revenue streams by identifying new sources that led to budget
surplus every year at the director level. Responsible for management of a $4.3 million budget. Oversaw the
creation, implementation, and execution of budgets for all the Boys & Girls Club branches.
Resource Development:Surpassed revenue goals within resource development department while minimizing
expenses. Focused on relationship building with outcome driven model for fund sustainability. Structured the
organization development plan to highlight the mission of the organization resulting in gifts exceeding
$100,000.
Annual Campaign Director 2015-2016
 On target to exceed budget goals by 4% with specific emphasis on individual and foundational
support – responsible for overall budget of $886,000.
 Developed and implemented first ever direct mail campaign for the organization with over 13,000
segmented recipients – raised over $27,000 in additional funds with this initiative.
 Created comprehensive stewardship plan and implemented for all new and existing donors. This
includes a specific portfolio of 75 relationship based donors.
 Worked with board committee and responsible for organizational tax credit initiative. Raised over
$90,000 internally and $47,000 in matching funds. Responsible for all internal and external
communications.
Area Director 2011-2015
 Establish a strategic structure for service team that directs five Club locations impacting more than
8,000 total youth and teens on a yearly basis. Survey method showed a 99% parent approval rating of
branch operations.
 Lead, motivate, and support a fulltime staff team of 25 and up to 100 part-time employees that
focuses on mission-driven results: 90% retention rate within fulltime staff team.
 Exceeded revenue goals by 6% as a result of working with direct reports to successfully develop and
oversee a $4.3 million budget for the organization’s service area.
 Conceptualized and implemented staff training matrix to ensure a growth-centered workplace that
focuses on successful staff development delivering more than 1500 training hours completed in the
past fiscal year, a 25% increase over last fiscal year.
 Developed focused and specialized career planning and advancement tools that included
Leadership Speaker Series, TTI Partnership, and Idea Farm to increase leadership capacity of
organization.
 Leveraged organization’s data as a tool for quality improvement within individual branches and
organization as a whole. Analyzed organizational outcomes and presented action plans to staff
leadership and board teams.
 Innovative problem-solving skills to focus on major initiatives within the Arts and Sports areas.
Initiatives led to 50% increase in service offerings within the arts and 3% revenue surplus within sports.
 Created and maintained valuable community collaborations that impact quality program
enhancement including partnerships with such organizations as Microsoft, Aviano Community Center,
Ziegler Family Foundation, Paradise Valley School District, Kohls, Partners for Paiute, Western
International University, and Desert Ridge Marketplace. These collaborations resulted in more than
$165,000 of additional funding for the past fiscal year.
Branch Director – Vestar Branch, Virginia G. Piper Branch, Rose Lane Branch 2004-2011
 Successfully developed, maintained, monitored, and managed budgets ranging from $800,000 to $1.3
million.
 Ensured a safe and secure environment for up to 400 youth and teens on a daily basis.
 Led and supervised full and part-time staff members. Responsible for measurement and quality
management of 26 core programs and overall branch programs.
 Created, implemented, and evaluated distinguished programs that have included multiple Honor
Awards for Program Excellence including: Best Overall Program(2009, 2012), Character and
Leadership Core Area, Education Core Area Merit Award, Art Core Area Merit Award, Character and
Leadership Merit Award via Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
