3. Which specific production tasks have you
enjoyed most this year?
• One of the production tasks I enjoyed this year was editing the music video. This
is because I could play around with different effects and see how I can make it
look cool in different ways. I also enjoy reading magazines so when I could
create my own magazine I really enjoyed doing that. When making the magazine I
also had to take my own photos for it so it was fun to see different ways you can
style them when editing on photoshop.
4. What challenges have you faced this
year in your practical work?
• There has been a few challenges in my work this year but one that always seems to
come up when I am planning my work which is deciding on where to start. For
example, I always get indecisive and change my idea 2 times at least as I never
know where to start. To be more precise the most difficult project I found was
the recent one we did which was where we had to create our own animated game.
For this I also struggled on settling on a final idea and I changed at least 3
times on what the plot of the game was going to be, what was going to be
included, the background design and how the character looked.
5. Which process do you think you have
made the most development in?
• I think the process I made most development in was probably research as when you
look at my research PowerPoints I try to give as much detail as I can find
because I choose to use examples that I find interesting. I also think that I
kept consistency with managing my time throughout all the projects as I finish
all my projects in time.
6. Which technical skill do you think is you
strongest?
• I think my strongest technical skill would be editing in photoshop. An example to
show this would be when we was designing our magazine and film poster, I
personally think that it looks quite professional, and it could potentially be
sold. My favourite part of the poster was when I combined two different photos
and edited it to look faded behind the main picture. Also, I managed to edit it
to a different colour and the contrast of these two phtotos looked good together.
7. What do you think has been your best
project and why?
• My best project I have done has to be either my music video or designing my
adventure game film poster. This is because I think being able to take my own
photos for the poster was what it made me really enjoy the project because I love
taking photos so being able to do something I love made me appreciate this
project and try my hardest.
8. Which project did you enjoy least and
why?
• I least enjoyed making the ghost audio project as I thought it would be quite
easy to make sound effects, but it is harder than it looks and didn’t come out
how I wanted it to. For example, I wanted to make a noise of someone falling down
a set of high stairs, so I bought a watermelon and smashed it into the ground to
try and get that affect but it wasn’t how I expected it to turn out. It was quite
fun to try and create these sound affects but as it didn’t go how I wanted I
would say it was the project I least enjoyed out of all oof them.
9. How have you managed your time
effectively this year?
• For the majority of my projects, I have managed my time effectively and not have
to rush any but as I previously mentioned before the recent project, we have just
completed the adventure game I didn’t manage my time as well as I have for the
rest as I definitely had to rush the game and didn’t fulfil my best efforts and
capability.
11. What roles/specialism do you see
yourself working in on future projects?
• The roles/ specialism I see myself working in the future is something to do with
social media and promoting content online as this is something I am interested
in. For example, if a brand asked me to promote an item I would go off and plan
how I could make it something people would want to buy, so I could design posters
and other things like that for it.
12. What do you see yourself doing at the
end of the course next year?
• I see myself going to university and studying either digital marketing, marketing
and advertising or creative advertising as these courses are able to get me the
degree for the job, I want to do in the future which is being a digital marketing
manager or a social media manager or just working in the social media
industry.
13. What research do you need to do in order to
explore your future progression options?
• I need to research on what university's do the course I want to do and find ones
that I want to go to. I also would need to look at what the requirements for
these would be and make sure I target the grade I need to and get this for when I
finish my final major project.
Notes de l'éditeur
Consider 2-3 specific practical parts of your work this year [e.g. filming or editing, etc] and discuss why these have been your favoured parts of the course so far
Think about the work that has been most challenging this year [try and be specific when talking about tasks] and how you responded to it?
A process would be research or planning or time management, it could be a combination. Talk about what it is, how you feel you’ve developed and where this was most evident in the year
This is a technical skill like filming, editing, photo manipulation, designing adverts or using Photoshop – think of an example that shows your strength
This is looking at how you see yourself specialising as we move into the FMP and into Year 2
