​JPI = Joint Programming Initiative
​Est. 2010 as collaboration between 14 members - to coordinate
climate research and fund new transnational research initiatives.
​The overall aim of the Joint Programming process is to pool
national research efforts in order to make better use of Europe's
public R&D resources and to tackle common European challenges
more effectively in key areas.
​It is a structured process on a voluntary basis and in a partnership
approach to address major societal challenges.
