The Toyota Production System (TPS) aims to eliminate waste, inconsistency, and overburden through concepts like just-in-time production and jidoka. TPS seeks to design processes that smoothly deliver required results, while being flexible without causing stress or overburden. Key terms include muda (waste), muri (overburden), mura (unevenness), takt time (rate of production), lead time (time from start to finish), and kanban (workflow management).
2. •The main objectives of the TPS are to design out
overburden (muri) and inconsistency (mura), and to eliminate
waste (muda).
•The most significant effects on process value delivery are
achieved by designing a process capable of delivering the
required results smoothly; by designing out "mura"
(inconsistency).
• It is also crucial to ensure that the process is as flexible as
necessary without stress or "muri" (overburden) since this
generates "muda" (waste). Finally the tactical improvements
of waste reduction or the elimination of muda are very
valuable.

3. Concept of TPS
• Inventory management and employees are united in a
commitment to positive change". TPS is grounded on two main
conceptual pillars:
• Just-in-time[5] – meaning "Making only what is needed, only
when it is needed, and only in the amount that is needed"
• Jidoka[6] – (Autonomation) meaning "Automation with a human
touch"

5. •Muda-Muda means wastefulness, uselessness and futility,
which is contradicting value-addition. Value-added work
is a process that adds value to the product or service that
the customer is willing to pay for.
•Muri-Muri means overburden, beyond one's power,
excessiveness, impossible or unreasonableness.

6. • Mura-Mura means unevenness, non-uniformity, and irregularity.
• TaktTime-Takt time is the rate at which you need to complete a
product to meet customer demand. For example, if you receive a
new product order every 4 hours, your team needs to finish a
product in 4 hours or less to meet demand.

7. • LeadTime-Lead time is the amount of time that passes from the
start of a process until its conclusion. Companies review lead
time in manufacturing, supply chain management and project
management during pre-processing, processing, and post-
processing stages.

8. • Kanban-Kanban is a workflow management method for
defining, managing and improving services that deliver
knowledge work.
• It aims to help you visualize your work, maximize efficiency,
and improve continuously.
