Yitong has an interdisciplinary background in psychology and digital innovation. Her PhD research is co-funded by Unilever UK ltd. and EPSRC, and is looking at the opportunities and challenges in designing Internet of Things to encourage healthier office work behaviours. She has a unique approach to business and social innovations, usually drawing on her expertise in ubiquitous computing and behavioural science as well as her skill in rapid scoping of evidence. Yitong has a genuine passion for design research that uncovers human needs, informs design, and brings about positive changes in people's lives.
