2. NETS•T National Educational Technology Standards and Performance Indicators for Teachers. Effective teachers apply the NETS for students as they design and assess learning experiences in order to improve student learning and provide positive models for students and professionals.
3. Standards teachers must follow: Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity Teachers must encourage students to explore situations and resolve problems using technology and be able to collaborate with other students and colleagues.
4. 2) Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments Teachers design lesson plans that have relevant learning and again promote creativity. They should also develop thinking so that students can become active in their goals.
5. 3. Model Digital-Age Work and Learning Teachers demonstrate understanding of technology and are able to transfer that knowledge to new situations. By doing this, they are able to collaborate with peers and help students reach success.
6. 4. Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility Teachers teach students safe, responsible and legal use of technology and digital resources (copyright infringement). They use this knowledge according to students needs.
7. 5. Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership Teachers must participate in learning communities to explore applications that can help students learning progress. Teachers must also be up to date on new technologies that can help their own growth.
