This document provides an overview of God's plan for Israel throughout history based on biblical passages. It discusses how Israel was promised the land of Canaan but disobeyed God, leading to exiles in Babylon and Assyria. It notes Jesus' prophecy of Jerusalem's destruction in AD 70 and the Jewish diaspora for 1900 years. However, it summarizes that Israel was regathered to its land in 1948 and prophecies foretell Israel's final salvation and restoration under God.
9. The Exodus
Golden Calf
Amos 5:25–26…Did you present Me with
sacrifices and grain offerings in the wilderness for
forty years, O house of Israel? You also carried
along Sikkuth your king and Kiyyun, your images,
the star of your gods which you made for
yourselves.
9
10. Not the best
Deuteronomy 9:4–5…Do not say in your heart
when the LORD your God has driven them out
before you, ‘Because of my righteousness the
LORD has brought me in to possess this land,’ but
it is because of the wickedness of these nations
that the LORD is dispossessing them before you. It
is not for your righteousness or for the

uprightness of your heart that you are going to
possess their land, but it is because of the
wickedness of these nations that the LORD your
God is driving them out before you, in order to
confirm the oath which the LORD swore to your
fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
11
12. Conquering the Promise Land
Joshua 24:14–15…Now, therefore, fear the LORD
and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put
away the gods which your fathers served beyond
the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. If it is
disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD,
choose for yourselves today whom you will serve:
whether the gods which your fathers served

which were beyond the River, or the gods of the
Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for
me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
13
14. Didn’t last long
Judges 2:1–3…Now the angel of the LORD came
up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, “I brought
you up out of Egypt and led you into the land
which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said, ‘I
will never break My covenant with you, and as for
you, you shall make no covenant with the
inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their

altars.’ But you have not obeyed Me; what is this
you have done? Therefore I also said, ‘I will not
drive them out before you; but they will become
as thorns in your sides and their gods will be a
snare to you.’ ”
15
16. Last Judge
1 Samuel 12:20–25 Samuel said, “Do not fear. You
have committed all this evil, yet do not turn aside
from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with
all your heart. You must not turn aside, for then
you would go after futile things which can not
profit or deliver, because they are futile. For the
LORD will not abandon His people on account of

17. Last Judge
His great name, because the LORD has been
pleased to make you a people for Himself.
Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I
should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for
you; but I will instruct you in the good and right
way. Only fear the LORD and serve Him in truth
with all your heart; for consider what great things
17
18. Last Judge
He has done for you. But if you still do wickedly,
both you and your king will be swept away.”
18
19. Didn’t last long
1 Kings 11:7–13…Then Solomon built a high place
for Chemosh the detestable idol of Moab, on the
mountain which is east of Jerusalem, and for
Molech the detestable idol of the sons of Ammon.
Thus also he did for all his foreign wives, who
burned incense and sacrificed to their gods. 9
Now the LORD was angry with Solomon because
19
20. Didn’t last long
his heart was turned away from the LORD, the
God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,
and had commanded him concerning this thing,
that he should not go after other gods; but he did
not observe what the LORD had commanded. So
the LORD said to Solomon, “Because you have
done this, and you have not kept My covenant

21. Didn’t last long
and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I
will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will
give it to your servant. Nevertheless I will not do
it in your days for the sake of your father David,
but I will tear it out of the hand of your son.
“However, I will not tear away all the kingdom,
21
22. Didn’t last long
but I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of
My servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem
which I have chosen.”
22
25. Prophecy
Isaiah 7:7–8…thus says the Lord GOD: “It shall not
stand nor shall it come to pass. For the head of
Aram is Damascus and the head of Damascus is
Rezin (now within another 65 years Ephraim will
be shattered, so that it is no longer a people),
25
26. Northern Kingdom KO’ ed by Assyria
2 Kings 17:22–23…The sons of Israel walked in all
the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they did not
depart from them until the LORD removed Israel
from His sight, as He spoke through all His
servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away
into exile from their own land to Assyria until this
day.
26
27. Prophecy
2 Kings 20:16–18…Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah,
“Hear the word of the Lord: Days are coming
when all that is in your house, and that which
your ancestors have stored up until this day, shall
be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says
the Lord. Some of your own sons who are born to
you shall be taken away; they shall be eunuchs in
the palace of the king of Babylon.”
27
28. The Babylonians are coming
2 Kings 24:10…At that time the servants of
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon went up to
Jerusalem, and the city came under siege.
28
29. Prophecy
Jeremiah 29:10…For thus says the LORD, ‘When
seventy years have been completed for Babylon, I
will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to
bring you back to this place.
29
30. Time to come home
Ezra 1:1–6…1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king
of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD
by the mouth of Jeremiah, the LORD stirred up
the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he sent a
proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and
also put it in writing, saying: “Thus says Cyrus king
of Persia, ‘The LORD, the God of heaven, has
30
31. Time to come home
given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has
appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem,
which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of
all His people, may his God be with him! Let him
go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild
the house of the LORD, the God of Israel; He is
the God who is in Jerusalem. Every survivor, at

32. Time to come home
whatever place he may live, let the men of that
place support him with silver and gold, with
goods and cattle, together with a freewill offering
for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.’ ”
Then the heads of fathers’ households of Judah
and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites
arose, even everyone whose spirit God had
32
33. Time to come home
stirred to go up and rebuild the house of the
LORD which is in Jerusalem. All those about them
encouraged them with articles of silver, with gold,
with goods, with cattle and with valuables, aside
from all that was given as a freewill offering.
33
36. Jesus’ prophecy
Matthew 24:1–2…Jesus came out from the
temple and was going away when His disciples
came up to point out the temple buildings to Him.
And He said to them, “Do you not see all these
things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will
be left upon another, which will not be torn
down.”
36
37. Prophecy of diaspora
Hosea 9:17…My God will cast them away Because
they have not listened to Him; And they will be
wanderers among the nations.
37
38. Prophecy of diaspora
Jeremiah 31:10…Hear the word of the LORD, O
nations, And declare in the coastlands afar off,
And say, “He who scattered Israel will gather him
And keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.”
38
39. Prophecy of diaspora
Leviticus 26:33…You, however, I will scatter
among the nations and will draw out a sword
after you, as your land becomes desolate and
your cities become waste.
39
40. Prophecy of diaspora
Joel 3:2…I will gather all the nations And bring
them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I
will enter into judgment with them there On
behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
And they have divided up My land.

41. McKenzie Says
After the death, resurrection, and ascension of
Christ, God allowed forty years of access to
temple genealogical records so that Israel could
verify the credentials and claims of His Son. Then,
in A.D. 70, the Romans attacked Jerusalem and
destroyed the city and temple. For nineteen
centuries following that Roman victory, Israel had

no temple and no national homeland. The Jews
who had been living in the Promised Land were
scattered throughout the world. In 1948, Israel
was reestablished as a nation and miraculously
protected by God from a continual series of
attacks by enemy countries who opposed and still
oppose her very existence. The prophesied return

to the land after the third exile has certainly
begun. However, much has yet to happen to
completely fulfill God’s plans for Israel.
43
44. Israel Regathered
Ezekiel 28:25–26…Thus says the Lord GOD,
“When I gather the house of Israel from the
peoples among whom they are scattered, and will
manifest My holiness in them in the sight of the
nations, then they will live in their land which I
gave to My servant Jacob. They will live in it
securely; and they will build houses, plant

vineyards and live securely when I execute
judgments upon all who scorn them round about
them. Then they will know that I am the LORD
their God.” ’ ”
45
46. Israel Saved
Romans 11:25–27…For I do not want you,
brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so
that you will not be wise in your own
estimation—that a partial hardening has
happened to Israel until the fullness of the
Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be

saved; just as it is written, “THE DELIVERER WILL
COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE
UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB.” 27 “THIS IS MY
COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY
THEIR SINS.”
