What Is NFS?
NFS stands for Network File System and it is used to share files & directories across all systems in the network.
File systems present in the server can be mounted locally on remote host machines. (Client-Server Architecture)
Server Side NFS Configuration Client Side NFS Configuration

2
Configure the /etc/exports file with
directory path and who to share it with

What Is Squid?
Now let’s understand what is Squid and how administrators can
make use of Squid to improve network bandwidth.

• Squid caches web requests & when another host make a similar request, the response time reduces.
• This results in improved bandwidth for the entire network.
• Squid implements ACL for blocking certain websites/ webpages & improves security by filtering traffic.
