exist for you as a remembrance of a signal, a special meeting. You will not do
any business of service and you will bring near a fire offering to YiHVVeH,
Records of the Feastivals of Sabbaths
of which there are 7 annual feastivals
Passover, Unleavened Bread, feast of weeks, Shofar, Atonement, Tabernacles
and the Last Great Day
These Feast Days are signpost guiding us home while reminding us annually of
YiHVVeH plan for humankind, their historical importance of our past, of our
presence and future grant us the knowledge of knowing the true ALMIGHTY
ONE spoke of in

The remnant is the same has the first remnant
Problem: apostasy and lawlessness

By what measurement shall we be judged
The Remnant
And the remnant of the trees of his forest shall be numbered, and a
servant will write it down.
And I heard the number of the sealed:
144 thousand sealed from all the tribes of the sons of Yisrâ’uw´l!
What seals the remnant
To understand the seal, we must understand Righteousness
Righteousness is an attribute that belongs to The Almighty One, the
Lawgiver, and is Manifested in His Laws. No human can be justified by
his own works apart from The Almighty’s grace, that Righteousness is
YiHVVeH gift to humanity through his love
Righteousness is the quality of being right in the eyes of The Almighty,
being of His Character has expanded in his Blessing
Because YiHVVeH is the One judging us, Yâ-hh is the One Who decrees
laws to us, Yâ-hh is our King,
He shall deliver us!
Tehillim 119:172
So, what does righeousness mean
The Righteous are people who have entered ( repent, belief and
immersion) into the covenant with the father by faith and seek to live
according to his Word,
And it shall be on that Day,
(Judgement day)
the Remnant of Yisrâ’uw´l
and the escaped remnant of Ya`aqóv will no longer continue to depend
on the one smiting them and will rely on YiHVVeH the Pure One of
Yisrâ’uw´l in Truth!”
A remnant shall return,
the remnant of Ya`aqóv,
to the heroic mighty One.
Because although your people, Yisrâ’uw´l, are like the sand of the sea, a
remnant of them shall be saved.
For the extermination determined is overwhelming in righteousness
The Day of Trumpets is also known as The Day of Remembrance, Judgment
Day, and the start of the Ten Days of Penitence. It is a day of remembering the
beginning of the world, and a commemoration of the dead (who will be
resurrected on that day).
Therefore,
The Day of Atonement, the Day of Trumpets is one of the two great solemn
holydays, a day of judgment and a new beginning. Not merely the anniversary
of creation, it is a renewal of creation (the time everything will be made new, at
the Messiah's return).
Beginning on the Day of Trumpets and ending on the Day of Atonement is what
is called the
Aseret Yemei Teshuva
(Ten Days of Penitence,)
or
Yamim Noraim
"Days of Awe,"
Dedicated to the inner cleansing of the man.
They are also known as "Days of Return," because we are to examine ourselves
and return to YiHVVeH.
On Trumpets,
YiHVVeH opens three books:
the first
containing the names of the righteous, who are in the book of life,
the second
contains the names of those irremediably wicked whose fate is death,
the third
book has the names of those in between, who have until Atonement to
determine their fates
The weekly Sabbath between Trumpets and Atonement is known as
Sabbath Shubah
("return"), meaning "repentance Sabbath."
Shabbat Shuvah
Shabbat Shuvah ("Sabbath [of] Return") refers to the Shabbat that occurs
during the Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom
Kippur. The Jewish calendar is so designed that only one Shabbat can occur
between these dates. This Shabbat is named after the first word of the
Haftarah and means "Return!" It is a play on, but not to be confused with,
the word Teshuvah (the word for "repentance") which is the motif of Ten
Days of Repentance.
Hosea 14:1
Return to YiHVVeH your Aluah; for you have fallen because of your sin.
Hosea 14:2
Take Words (YiHVVeH) with you and return to YiHVVeH. Tell Him, “Bear
away all our sin, and receive us well, so we offer the bulls of our lips.
Bulls of our lips: the words mentioned earlier in the verse. With no temple
intact and being in exile, this is all Efrayim has available to bring to
YiHVVeH as an acceptable sacrifice.
Rom. 12:1-2.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of YiHVVeH to present your
bodies a living slaughter, kodesh, acceptable to YiHVVeH which is your
reasonable worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed
by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good,
well-pleasing, and perfect will of YiHVVeH.
Hosea 14:3
Ashshuwr cannot save us. We will not ride on horses; neither will we say
any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our mighty ones!’ for in You the
fatherless finds mercy.”
A horse: paralleling Ashur (Assyria), this is one of the things Y’iscra’uwl
tended to trust in (for military security) instead of YiHVVeH. Fatherless:
The Northern Kingdom in particular, who until now had forgotten who our
ancestors were.
Mal’achi 4:5-6.
Indeed, all the nations may walk in the name of their mighty ones; but we
will walk in the Name of YiHVVeH our Elohiym into the ages and beyond.
“In that Day,” says YiHVVeH “I will assemble that which is lame, and I will
gather that which is driven away, and that which I have afflicted.
Hosea 14:4
“I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for My anger is
turned away from him.
Freely: or voluntarily
Hosea 14:5
I will be like the dew to Y’isra’uwl. He will blossom like the lily,
[Songs 2:1]
and send down his roots like Lebanon.
Dew: traditionally associated with the resurrection, but also with the manna,
which arrived when there was dew. The root word for “dew” means “to cover
over”. Lily: narcissus or daffodil; a six-petalled flower sometimes called the
“rose of Sharon”, though it is not a rose.
Hosea 14:6
His shoots will go forth, and His beauty will be like the olive tree, and His
fragrance like Lebanon.
Shoots will go forth: Since this is speaking of Efrayim, it is an allusion to
Yaqoob’s promise that Yoseyf’s branches would stride across a wall.
Ber. 49:22
“YiHVVeH Yosef [increaser/adding] is a fruitful vine, (Rachel's son) a fruitful
vine by a spring. His branches ran over the wall.
Splendor: majesty or vigor. The scent of Levanon would be the pleasant
fragrance of cedar trees.
Hosea 14:7
Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like grain, and blossom like
the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon.
Under his shade: benefiting from the ways of Y’iscra’uwl. Since the whole
passage is addressed to Y’iscra’uwl, these others may be the “companions” of
the House of Y’iscra’uwl.
Yehezqel 37:16
You, son of Adam, take one stick, and write on it, For Yahuwdah, and for the
children of Y’iscra’uwl his companions: then take another stick, and write on it,
For Yowseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the House of Y’iscra’uwl his
companions:
Come back: to the Land, and to the Hebraic heritage.
The vine: YiHVVeH said this is what He was.
Yn 15:5
I AM the Vine. You are the branches (Nätsärim). He who remains in Me, and I
in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from Me you are not able to do even
one thing.
Hosea 14:8
Ephrayim shall say, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer and
will take care of him. I am like a green fir tree; from Me your fruit is
found.”
Idols: the most salient example that comes to mind is the crucifix. He is a
living tree to us; why do we need a dead one that focuses our attention on a
death that is no more? He will treat the House of Yoseyf as if we had never
gone astray, so why should He want a reminder that He had to redeem us?
Zech. 10:6
“I will strengthen the House of Judah, and I will save the House of
Yowseph, and I will bring them back; or I will have mercy on them; and
they will be as though I had not cast them off: for I AM YiHVVeH their
Eloha, and I will hear them.
Flourishing: luxuriant, ever fresh, or green. There is no need for cut down
trees to be in our homes anymore! Cypress: not the type that grows in
American swamps, but the tall, narrow evergreen that grows in the Land of
Y’iscra’uwl and is seen quite commonly in southern California, which has
much the same climate. Fruit has been attained from Me: anything
worthwhile that we have accomplished has been His gift and at root His
doing.
Eph. 2:8-10
YiHVVeH saved you by His special favor when you believed. And you
cannot take credit for this (belief); it is a gift from YiHVVeH. Deliverance is
not a reward for the good things we have done [work], so none of us can
boast about it. For we are YiHVVeH workmanship/achievement. He has
created us anew in haMashiyach YiHVVeH, so that we can do the good
things He planned for us long ago.
Hosea 14:9
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he
may know them for the ways of YiHVVeH are straightforward, and the
righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them.
Who is wise: anyone who asks can be.
Yaakov/James 1:5
But if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of Aluah, who gives to all
liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
These things: the restoration and return of the House of Y’iscra’uwl.
Straightforward: level, correct, straight, fitting, proper, upright. Rebel:
revolt or overstep, i.e., leaving the path through either carelessness or
willfulness. The rebels are still affected by the Towrah; they can still be
redeemed. Those who are wicked will simply ignore it.
Micah 7:19-20
He will again have compassion for us. He will tread our iniquities under
foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. You will give
truth to Yaqoob, and mercy to Abraham, as You have sworn to our fathers
from the days of old.
are read on this Sabbath. Repentance is the vehicle YiHVVeH has assigned
through which man may reach Him. The only way to approach YiHVVeH is
through repentance. The value of repentance is also emphasized by the
Biblical example of King Hezekiah, who, when upon his deathbed, pleaded
with YiHVVeH for mercy. YiHVVeH granted Hezekiah's request and
extended his life for fifteen years,
II Kings 20:1-11.
In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Yashayahu the prophet the son of
Amoz came to him, and said to him, “Thus says YiHVVeH ‘Set your house in
order; for you shall die, and not live.’” Then he turned his face to the wall, and
prayed to YiHVVeH saying, “Remember now, YiHVVeH I beg you, how I
have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart and have done that
which is good in Your sight.” Hezekiah wept bitterly. It happened, before
Yashayahu had gone out into the middle part of the city, that the Word of
YiHVVeH came to him, saying, “Turn back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of My
people, ‘Thus says YiHVVeH the Al of Dawiyd your father, “I have heard your
prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day, you
shall go up to the House of YiHVVeH. I will add to your days fifteen years. I
will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the sovereign of Ashuwr. I will
defend this city for My own sake, and for My servant Dawiyd’s sake.”’
Yeshayahu said, “Take a cake of figs. ”They took it and laid it on the boil, and
he recovered. Hezekiah said to Yeshayahu, “What shall be the sign that
YiHVVeH will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of YiHVVeH the
third day?” YashaYahu said, “This shall be the sign to you from YiHVVeH that
YiHVVeH will do the thing that He has spoken: shall the shadow go forward
ten steps, or go back ten steps?” Hezekiah answered, “It is a light thing for the
shadow to go forward ten steps. Nay, but let the shadow return backward ten
steps.” YashaYahu the prophet cried to YiHVVeH; and He brought the shadow
ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.
There are three areas of repentance in understanding:
thought,
speech,
action.
Unless one corrects his actions, he is not truly repentant.
Hoshia-na:
Baruch [is] ha Melekh Y’isra’uwl that cometh b'Shem YiHVVeH
All the Spring Feasts were fulfilled at YiHVVeH first coming, and on the exact
day of the feast. All the Fall Feasts picture the Second Advent, and the Feast of
Trumpets is the first of the fall feasts, picturing rapture.
Galates 1:11
But I make known to you, Achim, that the Good News which was proclaimed of
me is to man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by
the revelation of Yahshua HaMashiyach
The Feast of Trumpets is also known as the coronation of the HaMashiyach,
when he will start reigning as king, thus the beginning of the "Day of
YiHVVeH ", which includes the tribulation. It is also time for the bema
judgment, or the judgement of the works of the righteous, and judgement must
begin at the house of YHWH.
Ten Reasons Why YiHVVeH Commanded Us to Keep the Day of Trumpets,
Saadia Gaon
(892-942 A.D.)
The first reason:
Because this day is the beginning of creation, on which the Holy One blessed be
He, created the world and reigned over it. Just as is with kings at the start of
their reign -- trumpets and horns are blown in their presence to make it known
and to let it be heard in every place -- thus it is when we designate the Creator,
may He be blessed, as King on this day, for David said: With trumpets and
sound of the horn, shout ye before the King, YiHVVeH.
Tehillim 98:6.
With shofars and sound of the ram’s horn, make a joyful noise before the
Sovereign, YHWH.
The second reason:
Because the day of New Year is the first of the ten days of repentance, the
shofar is sounded on it to announce to us as one warns and says: "Whosoever
wants to repent -- let him repent; and if he does not, let him reproach himself."
Thus do the kings: first they warn the people of their decrees; then if one
violates a decree after the warning, his excuse is not accepted.
The third reason:
To remind us of Mount Sinai, . . . The blare of the horn grew louder and louder,
Exodus 19:19,
When the sound of the shofar grew louder and louder, Moshah spoke, and The
Almighty answered him with a Voice.
YiHVVeH responded as a witness through a voice: Aramaic, "from before
YiHVVeH he was answered by a voice". A normal voice or breath grows
weaker as it progresses. This trumpet-like sound was, according to Ibriy
tradition, the words of the Torah going out in all seventy languages to the
seventy nations besides Y’iscra’uwl, but only Y’iscra’uwl chose to receive
them. The descendants who would later disperse throughout the entire world
stood here within their forebears, and it was for their sake that the nations were
offered the Torah as well (cf. Romans 11). In Acts 2, traditionally on the
anniversary of this date, the covenant was renewed again (as Abraham's
covenant was renewed here with adaptations for the size of the nation now) with
words in many languages and tongues of fire. (See 20:18)
We need to understand that

This covenant is not dependant on Man has a human being, it is a steadfast rock
that dictates the terms of conditions of the contract, that we as humans must
fulfill, there is no that is pencilled in its written with the ink horn of the
messenger
This speaks of a covenant made through Abraham, to Yitzak and Yaakov , and
the Nation of Y’iscra’uwl, no other Nation has this covenant pertaining to the
promise, under the old law, yet opened to all who accept

you, instead he which will go out from your abdomens, he will possess you,

READ THIS CAREFULLY
And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the
remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the
witness of Yahshua HaMaschiyach
and that we should accept for ourselves the covenant that our ancestors
accepted for themselves, as they said we will do and obey,

He took the scroll of the covenant (the scroll of the Torah) and read it in the
hearing of the people, and they said, “All that YiHVVeH has spoken will we do,

The fourth reason:
To remind us of the words of the prophets that were compared to the sound of
the shofar, as it is said: Then whosoever heareth the sound of the horn, and
taketh not warning, if the sword come, and taketh him away, his blood shall be
upon his own head . . . whereas if he had taken warning, he would have
delivered his soul,
Ezekiel 33:4-5.
Then whoever hears the shofar, and does not take warning, if the sword comes,
and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head.
[Borders: extremities. Those whom others consider extreme are often the ones
who are best at guarding the territory, and this is done best on its edges. They
are usually not those known as leaders and rarely popular, but like half the tribe
of Menashe who were better at overseeing the tribes who wanted to live east of
the Yarden, YiHVVeH positions those who are best at the task where they will
be most useful. These texts are about Yom Teruach - the blowing of the Shofar
of warning.]
Ezekiel 33:5
He heard the shofar and did not take warning; his blood shall be on him;
whereas if he had taken warning, [Take warning: or, receive teaching, accept
the light shone upon him, be admonished.] he would have delivered his being.
The fifth reason:
To remind us of the destruction of the Temple . . . , O my soul, the sound of the
horn, the alarm of war,
Jeremiah 4:19.
My belly! My belly! I am pained at my very heart; my heart is disquieted in me;
I cannot hold my peace; because you have heard, O my being, the sound of the
shofar, the alarm of war.
When we hear the shofar, we will ask YiHVVeH to rebuild the Temple.
The sixth reason:
To remind us of the binding of Isaac who offered his life to Heaven. We should
also offer our lives for the sanctification of His Name, and thus we will be
remembered for good.
The seventh reason:
When we will hear the blowing of the shofar, we will be fearful, and we will
tremble, and we will humble ourselves before the Creator, for that is the nature
of the shofar -- it causes fear and trembling, as it is written: Shall the horn be
blown in a city and the people not tremble?
Amos 3:6.
If a shofar is sounded in a city, won't the people tremble with fear? If there is a
calamity in a city, shall not YiHVVeH have done it?
Sounded: the term used refers to short, staccato notes that signified an alarm due
to an impending attack.
The eighth reason:
To recall the day of the great judgment and to be fearful of it, as it is said: The
great day of the Sovereign is near, it is near and hasteth greatly . . . a day of the
horn and alarm,
Zephaniah 1:14-16.
The Great Day of YiHVVeH is nearby. It is near, and hurries, the Voice of the
Day of YiHVVeH. The brave man cries there bitterly. That Day is a day of
wrath, a day of distress and dire straits, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of
darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness, a day of the shofar and
battle-alarm, against the fortified cities, and against the high battlements.

The Length of That Day:
The Type: Bereshiyth 8:14 In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of
the month, the earth was dry. (The "flood" of destruction was on the earth for
370 days while YiHVVeH people (Noah and family) were safe in His ark.)
[This was 370 days after the flood began up to the time, they emerged from the
ark ... or one year and ten days, at that time—the same length as the interval
between one Feast of Trumpets until Yom Kippur the following year.] - a 360
day year Yashayahu 32:10 For a few days beyond a year you shall be troubled,
(for a little more than a year you complacent women; for the vintage shall fail.
The harvest will not come. ... Yashayahu 34:8 For YiHVVeH has a Day of
Vengeance, a Year of Recompense for the cause of Tsiyown. 34:9 Its [Edom's]
streams shall be turned into tar, its dust into brimstone, and its land shall
become burning asphalt. 34:10 It will not be quenched night nor day. Its smoke
shall ascend a long time. From generation to generation, it shall lie waste. No
one shall pass through it forever and ever. 34:11 But the pelican and the
porcupine shall possess it. The owl and the raven shall dwell in it. Then He shall
stretch the measuring line of chaos over it, and the plumb line of emptiness
[waste]. [Chaos: Heb., tohu. Emptiness: or “waste”; Heb., bohu. These two
terms were used of what the earth became (Gen. 1:2) after a cataclysmic
judgment and just before being reconstituted for the use of humanity][Battle-
alarm: Heb, t’ruah, the term for the first day of the seventh month (Lev. 23:24),
this then will be the day when what is being described will fall in the annual
calendar.]
The ninth reason:
To remind us of the ingathering of the scattered ones of Yisra’uwl, that we
ardently desire, as it is said: And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great
horn shall be blown; and they shall come that were lost in the land of Assyria . .
. and they shall worship the Lord in the holy mountain at Jerusalem,
Yashayahu 27:13.
It shall happen on That Day that a Great Shofar shall be blown; and those who
were perishing in the land of Ashshuwr, and those who were outcasts in the land
of Mitsrayim, shall come; and they shall worship YiHVVeH in the Qodesh
Mountain at Yerushalayim. [cf. Yirmeyahu 23:7-8]
Matt. 24:31 He shall send out His Messengers with the sound of the Great
Shofar [Day of Atonement], and they shall gather His chosenones from the four
winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
[Yashayahu 11:12
He shall set up a Banner [Anointed] for the nations, and shall assemble the
outcasts of Ysra'al, and gather together the dispersed of Yahuwdah from the
four corners of the earth If any of your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of the
heavens, from there will YiHVVeH your Al gather you, and from there He will
bring you back:[this is the gathering of His living ones - the dead were raised 10
days earlier at Yom Teruach] (Note * 24:31: The Great Shofar is blown on Yom
Kippur (The Day of Atonement), and also in the introduction of, the Jubilee
Year. - the dead are raised 10 days earlier at the" " last shofar" - Day of
Trumpets . (Torah and Testimony clarified translation)]
Tehillim 50:3
Our Elohiym comes and does not keep silent. A fire devours before Him. It is
very stormy around Him. 50:4 He calls to the shemaya above, to the earth, that
He may judge His people: 50:5 “Gather My Set-apart ones together to Me, those
who have made a covenant with Me by slaughter.”
Zech 9:14-17 "
YiHVVeH shall be seen over them [Yahuwdah & Ephriam]; and His arrow
shall go flash like lightning; and the Master YiHVVeH shall blow the trumpet
and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. YiHVVeH Master of Armies shall
defend them; and they shall destroy and overcome with sling stones; and they
shall drink, and roar as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, like
the corners of the altar. YiHVVeH their El shall save them in that Day as the
flock of His people; for they are like the jewels of a crown, lifted on high over
His Land. For how great His Goodness is, and how great is His Beauty!" [Yom
Kippur deliverance!]
Great shofar: an element of Yom Kippur ceremonies. Perishing: or being
exterminated. Outcasts: those thrust out, or those banished. From what follows,
it is clear this is speaking about the Northern Kingdom.
The tenth reason:
To remind us of the resurrection of the dead and the belief in it, as it is said: All
ye inhabitants of the world, and ye dwellers on the earth, when an ensign is
lifted on the mountains, see ye; and when the horn is blown, hear ye,
Yashayahu 18:3.
All you inhabitants of the world, and your dwellers on the earth, when a Banner
is lifted on the mountains, look! When the shofar is blown, listen!
2 Cor 11:2
For I am jealous over you with jealousy of Elohiym: for I have espoused you to
one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to HaMashiyach.

Tehillim 119:172 So, what does righeousness mean The Righteous are people who have entered ( repent, belief and immersion) into the covenant with the father by faith and seek to live according to his Word, And it shall be on that Day, (Judgement day) the Remnant of Yisrâ’uw´l
  • 8. and the escaped remnant of Ya`aqóv will no longer continue to depend on the one smiting them and will rely on YiHVVeH the Pure One of Yisrâ’uw´l in Truth!” A remnant shall return, the remnant of Ya`aqóv, to the heroic mighty One. Because although your people, Yisrâ’uw´l, are like the sand of the sea, a remnant of them shall be saved. For the extermination determined is overwhelming in righteousness The Day of Trumpets is also known as The Day of Remembrance, Judgment Day, and the start of the Ten Days of Penitence. It is a day of remembering the beginning of the world, and a commemoration of the dead (who will be resurrected on that day). Therefore, The Day of Atonement, the Day of Trumpets is one of the two great solemn holydays, a day of judgment and a new beginning. Not merely the anniversary of creation, it is a renewal of creation (the time everything will be made new, at the Messiah's return). Beginning on the Day of Trumpets and ending on the Day of Atonement is what is called the Aseret Yemei Teshuva (Ten Days of Penitence,) or Yamim Noraim "Days of Awe," Dedicated to the inner cleansing of the man.
  • 9. They are also known as "Days of Return," because we are to examine ourselves and return to YiHVVeH. On Trumpets, YiHVVeH opens three books: the first containing the names of the righteous, who are in the book of life, the second contains the names of those irremediably wicked whose fate is death, the third book has the names of those in between, who have until Atonement to determine their fates The weekly Sabbath between Trumpets and Atonement is known as Sabbath Shubah ("return"), meaning "repentance Sabbath." Shabbat Shuvah Shabbat Shuvah ("Sabbath [of] Return") refers to the Shabbat that occurs during the Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The Jewish calendar is so designed that only one Shabbat can occur between these dates. This Shabbat is named after the first word of the Haftarah and means "Return!" It is a play on, but not to be confused with, the word Teshuvah (the word for "repentance") which is the motif of Ten Days of Repentance. Hosea 14:1 Return to YiHVVeH your Aluah; for you have fallen because of your sin. Hosea 14:2 Take Words (YiHVVeH) with you and return to YiHVVeH. Rom. 12:1-2. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of YiHVVeH to present your bodies a living slaughter, kodesh, acceptable to YiHVVeH which is your reasonable worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of YiHVVeH. Hosea 14:3 Ashshuwr cannot save us. We will not ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our mighty ones!’ for in You the fatherless finds mercy.” A horse: paralleling Ashur (Assyria), this is one of the things Y’iscra’uwl tended to trust in (for military security) instead of YiHVVeH. Fatherless: The Northern Kingdom in particular, who until now had forgotten who our ancestors were. Mal’achi 4:5-6. Indeed, all the nations may walk in the name of their mighty ones; but we will walk in the Name of YiHVVeH our Elohiym into the ages and beyond. “In that Day,” says YiHVVeH “I will assemble that which is lame, and I will gather that which is driven away, and that which I have afflicted. Hosea 14:4 “I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for My anger is turned away from him. Freely: or voluntarily Hosea 14:5 I will be like the dew to Y’isra’uwl. He will blossom like the lily, [Songs 2:1] and send down his roots like Lebanon.
  • 11. Dew: traditionally associated with the resurrection, but also with the manna, which arrived when there was dew. The root word for “dew” means “to cover over”. Lily: narcissus or daffodil; a six-petalled flower sometimes called the “rose of Sharon”, though it is not a rose. Hosea 14:6 His shoots will go forth, and His beauty will be like the olive tree, and His fragrance like Lebanon. Shoots will go forth: Since this is speaking of Efrayim, it is an allusion to Yaqoob’s promise that Yoseyf’s branches would stride across a wall. Ber. 49:22 “YiHVVeH Yosef [increaser/adding] is a fruitful vine, (Rachel's son) a fruitful vine by a spring. His branches ran over the wall. Splendor: majesty or vigor. The scent of Levanon would be the pleasant fragrance of cedar trees. Hosea 14:7 Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon. Under his shade: benefiting from the ways of Y’iscra’uwl. Since the whole passage is addressed to Y’iscra’uwl, these others may be the “companions” of the House of Y’iscra’uwl. Yehezqel 37:16 You, son of Adam, take one stick, and write on it, For Yahuwdah, and for the children of Y’iscra’uwl his companions: then take another stick, and write on it, For Yowseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the House of Y’iscra’uwl his companions: Come back: to the Land, and to the Hebraic heritage. The vine: YiHVVeH said this is what He was. Yn 15:5
  • 12. I AM the Vine. You are the branches (Nätsärim). He who remains in Me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from Me you are not able to do even one thing. Hosea 14:8 Ephrayim shall say, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer and will take care of him. I am like a green fir tree; from Me your fruit is found.” Idols: the most salient example that comes to mind is the crucifix. He is a living tree to us; why do we need a dead one that focuses our attention on a death that is no more? He will treat the House of Yoseyf as if we had never gone astray, so why should He want a reminder that He had to redeem us? Zech. 10:6 “I will strengthen the House of Judah, and I will save the House of Yowseph, and I will bring them back; or I will have mercy on them; and they will be as though I had not cast them off: for I AM YiHVVeH their Eloha, and I will hear them. Flourishing: luxuriant, ever fresh, or green. There is no need for cut down trees to be in our homes anymore! Cypress: not the type that grows in American swamps, but the tall, narrow evergreen that grows in the Land of Y’iscra’uwl and is seen quite commonly in southern California, which has much the same climate. Fruit has been attained from Me: anything worthwhile that we have accomplished has been His gift and at root His doing. Eph. 2:8-10 YiHVVeH saved you by His special favor when you believed. And you cannot take credit for this (belief); it is a gift from YiHVVeH. Deliverance is not a reward for the good things we have done [work], so none of us can boast about it. For we are YiHVVeH workmanship/achievement. He has created us anew in haMashiyach YiHVVeH, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
  • 13. Hosea 14:9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them for the ways of YiHVVeH are straightforward, and the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them. Who is wise: anyone who asks can be. Yaakov/James 1:5 But if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of Aluah, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. These things: the restoration and return of the House of Y’iscra’uwl. Straightforward: level, correct, straight, fitting, proper, upright. Rebel: revolt or overstep, i.e., leaving the path through either carelessness or willfulness. The rebels are still affected by the Towrah; they can still be redeemed. The value of repentance is also emphasized by the Biblical example of King Hezekiah, who, when upon his deathbed, pleaded with YiHVVeH for mercy. YiHVVeH granted Hezekiah's request and extended his life for fifteen years, II Kings 20:1-11. In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. There are three areas of repentance in understanding: thought, speech, action. Unless one corrects his actions, he is not truly repentant. All the Fall Feasts picture the Second Advent, and the Feast of Trumpets is the first of the fall feasts, picturing rapture. Galates 1:11

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Yahshua HaMashiyach The Feast of Trumpets is also known as the coronation of the HaMashiyach, when he will start reigning as king, thus the beginning of the "Day of YiHVVeH ", which includes the tribulation. It is also time for the bema judgment, or the judgement of the works of the righteous, and judgement must begin at the house of YHWH. Ten Reasons Why YiHVVeH Commanded Us to Keep the Day of Trumpets, Saadia Gaon (892-942 A.D.) The first reason: Because this day is the beginning of creation, on which the Holy One blessed be He, created the world and reigned over it. Just as is with kings at the start of their reign -- trumpets and horns are blown in their presence to make it known and to let it be heard in every place -- thus it is when we designate the Creator, may He be blessed, as King on this day, for David said: With trumpets and sound of the horn, shout ye before the King, YiHVVeH. Thus do the kings: first they warn the people of their decrees; then if one violates a decree after the warning, his excuse is not accepted.

Outcasts: those thrust out, or those banished. From what follows, it is clear this is speaking about the Northern Kingdom. The tenth reason: To remind us of the resurrection of the dead and the belief in it, as it is said: All ye inhabitants of the world, and ye dwellers on the earth, when an ensign is lifted on the mountains, see ye; and when the horn is blown, hear ye, Yashayahu 18:3. All you inhabitants of the world, and your dwellers on the earth, when a Banner is lifted on the mountains, look! When the shofar is blown, listen! 2 Cor 11:2 For I am jealous over you with jealousy of Elohiym: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to HaMashiyach.
