1. As many CONCORD members are currently coping with very challenging situations, the main theme
of this year’s General Assembly is
CONCORD facing shrinking civic space in a Europe in crisis.
Last year the CONCORD Delegates endorsed the new strategy. To better reflect it, this year’s
General Assembly will strive to give more space to learning and exchange.
We are therefore introducing new types of sessions:
CONCORDTALK
Inspirational session focusing on looking at topics from a different perspective. Topics this year:
CONCORDLearning
Training session focused on peer-learning among members. Members share their expertise on
something that might benefit the whole confederation. Topics this year:
Creating space for CSOs:
time for leadership and action
How can we strengthen civil society’s key
role for democracy in the current challenging
environment? Join this interactive discussion
featuring guest speakers from the institutions and
civil society to exchange new ideas and identify
practical actions.

2. CONCORD SPEED-DATING
Session to create dialogue among members who might not necessarily often talk to each other.
It aims at creating a better understanding of the diversity of the CONCORD membership.
Ceremony highlighting some of the great work done this year.
CONCORD Workshop
Workshop session to tackle a specific issue. Members are divided into smaller groups to
discuss different aspects of that issue. Topic this year:
Members’ challenges with shrinking space in Europe
What restrictions are CONCORD members facing regarding policy work, funding and
reputation? What is the situation across Europe? This workshop will allow members to share
current challenges and start a discussion working towards solutions.

Inclusiveness is very important in the new CONCORD strategy and one of its many aspects
is disability-inclusion. What does this mean in practice? To find out join this interactive training
on disability-inclusion with some practical suggestions on how to make the daily ork of our own
