What is appearance?
Appearance deals with every aspect of how we perceive an individual. Our
appearance is a direct reflection of the environment in which we were raised. In an
instant, we form opinions about a person based on that individual’s appearance,
smell, cleanliness, emails and mannerisms.

 Good appearance makes you feel great about yourself, your self-confidence, and
your attitude towards life.
 You represent your company, and your image is that company’s essence.

 Suits – The best colors to go for are conservative ones like black or blue.
 Trousers – It is vital they fit perfectly. Make sure that whatever trousers you buy are
comfortable, and do not drape along the floor.
 Shirt – The shirt should match the suit and be the right size.
 Tie – A tie must be worn, ideally matching your suit.
 Shoes and socks – Formal shoes should be worn. Make sure they are polished and
that your socks are dark in color.
 Hair – Make sure your hair is kept neat and tidy.
 Nails – You should make sure your nails are clean and trimmed.

Appearance for Women

 Blouse – ladies can wear a smart blouse with or without cufflinks or choose a smart
top, which matches the suit.
 Footwear – Always choose something that is comfortable, that matches the suit.
 Hair – Keep hair clean and try to avoid putting too many products in your hair.
 Make-up – The best look to go for is the natural one.
 Perfumes – Go for a subtle, fresh scents.
 Nails – You should make sure your nails are clean and well trimmed.
