How to get from a cruise port in Florida to a car hire depot. We look at all four ports and show you if there is a complimentary shuttle, or if you have to make your own way.
2. Complimentary Shuttles
Often, a car hire supplier will operate a
complimentary shuttle between its car hire
depot and the cruise port. These operate only
when a ship is in port. We will show you which
ports and which suppliers have shuttles, and
where you will need to make your own way.
3. Port Canaveral
This port is served by Avis, Alamo, Budget and
Dollar. Each company offers a complimentary
shuttle between its location and Port
Canaveral:
● Avis is at: 6650 N Atlantic Ave, 32920
● Alamo is at: 6211 N Atlantic Ave, 32920
● Budget is at: 8401 Astronaut Blvd, 32920
● Dollar is at: 6799 N Atlantic Ave, 32920
4. Port Everglades
Alamo offers a complimentary shuttle between Fort
Lauderdale International Airport and the Port
Everglades.
Dollar offers a complimentary shuttle from its drop
location at 2400 Miami Road, and the port. For cruise
arrivals, cars are collected from the airport.
Cruise passengers using other car hire suppliers will
need to pay for airport shuttles or taxis.
5. Port of Miami
Alamo, Dollar, National & Thrifty all offer
complimentary shuttles between Miami
International Airport Car Rental Center and the
Port of Miami.
For car hire with Budget, use the location at South
East 89 2nd Street. A taxi will be required as no
shuttle is operated from the port by Budget
6. Port of Tampa
Alamo operates a complimentary shuttle
between its depot at 725 S Harbor Island Blvd
and the Port of Tampa.
For car hire with all other suppliers taxis are
available to take you to or from Tampa
International Airport.
