2. Drawing Process
Unfortunately I have left my screen shots of
my drawing process on the computer at
school , however I can explain what I did to
create the art work and the animation
process.
I did all my art work in photoshop using only
these tools:
- Pencil.
- Brush.
- Smug.
- Eraser.
I would open up the image I wanted to draw into photoshop and then place it to one side of my screen, I would
then open up a blank document to draw on, I would then selected the colour picker tool and click on the
colours I need to draw with from the image I opened up, I would then begin to draw starting with the clothes
and finishing with the head. When I have drawn the basic outlines from everything I will then fill them in and
start to blend the lines together with the smug tool, once I did that I would then go in with different shades of
a certain colour to add highlights and shadows so the drawing would look more realistic, I would then blend
them all together with would create even more shades making my work look even more realistic.
3. Drawing Process
This did take time to do as I messed up a few times by accidently drawing on the
wrong layers and moving a certain body part in the wrong direction, however I did
manage to finish it to a decent standard however it could of looked better and could
of done with some more movement.
As for the animation side of
my art work I would draw out
the characters that I needed
and any other props, at each
frame I would then move
then and draw extra pieces if
needed.
5. Editing Process
The editing process didn’t take as long as the drawing process however it was difficulty to do.
I wanted the text to have a typewriter effect like more video games have so that it’s easier for the player to
read. To achieve this I had to do some research on how to make this possible in Premiere pro.
To create the finished typewriter effect I created a title on the frame of which I wanted text to show on, I then
placed the text box above the video, after this I added the linear effect to the text box so the text would move
like a typewriter would, I then changed the angle to 270 degrees so the linear effect would move in the correct
direction, after this I set a key frame at the start of the text box starting from the beginning of the linear effect,
I then set a key frame at the end of the text box starting from the end of the linear effect so then the whole
sentenced would write it’s self.
Another effected a used for my video game was the moving mouse cursor.
All I did for this was save a transparent photo of a mouse cursor from the internet and place it into Premiere
pro, I then made the scale of the cursor smaller and moved it frame by frame so that it would click the buttons
and options I needed it to click in order for the game to look realistic and so that it looked more like a video
game instead of just a video.
