Often each party has a need to control its own information, especially when the project management system is integrated with their back office financials. Companies don’t typically share their accounting systems and they’re becoming increasingly reluctant to share their management systems. Maintaining separate databases increases the workload for everyone involved in the project, leaving users wondering what happened to the promised savings in time and effort. Often there is no connection – or a slow connection – on the jobsite. 3. Because all documents reside within a single database, it’s easy to create a complete archive without worrying about external dependencies. 4. With the user interface, we’ve tried to imitate the paper forms people are familiar with. What you see on the screen is what the other person gets, which gives some comfort when using EdgeBuilder.
