Isabel Hartmann
Southwest Grad Program Manager
Kaplan Test Prep
March 28, 2016
May this letter serve as a personal recommendation for Mrs. Emily Chavez, a former
employee/direct report under my management at Kaplan Test Prep. Emily Chavez was hired in
February 2013 to serve as a Student Brand Ambassador with a primary focus of marketing our
products to student groups while planning and executing branding events on campus. I found
Emily to be responsible, motivated, and committed to optimizing our business results and taking
on more responsibilities, so within a few months I promoted her to Office Manager. During this
role she further developed creative and effective ways to promote our business through
grassroots activities and social media outlets which contributed to National Campaign wins for
our Tucson Market. Emily has amazing Project Management skills to plan and execute various
tasks thoroughly. She also handled all CRM data entry using SalesForce and numerous other
reporting systems. In 2014, Emily was charged with additional management responsibilities
including recruiting, hiring and training of direct reports. She administered initial interviews and
all on-boarding paperwork. Furthermore, she trained our Student Brand Ambassadors,
prepared monthly meetings and schedules, and approved our Direct Reports’ submitted payroll
hours.
Emily Chavez is truly a bright, motivated, ethical, inspiring woman that would be a true asset to
your organization. She is detail-oriented, hardworking, and organized, and capable of taking on
any tasks assigned to her. She will also take initiative in her work and go beyond her job duties
without being asked. I consider Emily the best employee I have had the pleasure of working
with. As Graduate Program Manager for Kaplan with fifteen years of upper management
experience, I have the ability to “read” talent, responsibility, and career potential. With that
perspective, I perceive Emily to be a solid employment prospect that would be a credit to any
organization with the foresight to retain her. I therefore tender my strong recommendation in
support of any but specifically this Marketing Coordinator Position with which her skills and
experience appear to match very well with the requirements of the position.
If I can answer any questions, please feel free to contact me via (contact info redacted).
Respectfully,
Isabel Hartmann
