2. My school magazine front cover follows the codes
and conventions of a magazine by first of all using a
masthead which is central of the magazine.
The main image that I have used for the magazine is a
medium close up shot which also follows the codes
and conventions.
However, My school magazine front cover has many
weaknesses that I will need to improve on for my
music magazine. First of all the main cover line is
positioned in the wrong place and it could have been
bolder and slightly larger.
There also needs to be more cover lines as it looks
quite bare so I will be able to do that on my music
magazine.

3. For the school contents page I used a new
software that I had never used before called
Quark. It was reasonably easy to use and I got the
hand of using the software.
The strengths of the contents page is the fact that
I have used the columns correctly. I have used one
column for the writing and used images to overlap
the other two columns.
A main weakness of the contents page is that I
don’t have a main image on here. I do have images
but not a larger main sub image. Another
weakness is that I don’t have any page numbers
on the images. This is something to remember for
my music magazine.
