This document discusses blogs and wikis and their potential uses for libraries. It provides definitions of blogs as reverse chronological collections of categorized and tagged archived material that allow for commenting and RSS feeds. Wikis are described as collaborative websites that allow quick editing without HTML knowledge but can lack organization and control. Examples are given of libraries that have implemented blogs and wikis successfully. Finally, some common blog and wiki software options are listed.
