HOW TO BELIEVE YOU RECEIVE
A SERMON BY PASTOR LANRE ONASANYA (SPIRIT OF LIFE CHRISTIAN CENTRE)
PRESENTATION BY EMMANUEL OPARA (EMMAXSON@GMAIL.COM)
Mark 11:23
3. Jesus speaks to a
fig tree…
(Mark 11:12-14)
And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany,
he was hungry:
And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if
haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came
to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was
not yet.
And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of
thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it
(Mark 11:12-14)
4. The fig tree dries
up…
(Mark 11:20-21)
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig
tree dried up from the roots.
And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master,
behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
(Mark 11:20-21)
5. What Jesus had
to say about
what
happened…
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this
mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the
sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that
those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall
have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire,
when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall
have them.
(Mark 11:22-24)
6. “
”
For verily I say unto you, That
WHOSOEVER SHALL SAY unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and SHALL NOT DOUBT in his heart,
but shall believe that those things which he saith shall
come to pass;
he shall have whatsoever he saith.
MARK 11:23
10. You have to say
what you believe
You must say what you believe… You have to express your
believe…
You may say: “what I believe is inside me,” but dear friend
NO! The mountain doesn’t respond to what is inside you,
the mountain responds to what you say.
Did you notice, in that part of scripture, we are not
instructed to pray* about the mountain, but to do what?
SAY TO THE MOUNTAIN.
* not that prayer is not recommended or is not good
11. You don’t talk
about the
mountain, you
speak to the
mountain
A PROBLEM SHARED IS HALF SOLVED???
Some of us talk about the mountain in the name of sharing
our circumstances with people. This isn’t totally bad but
truthfully, how many times does this solve the problem? We
even notice that it sometimes compounds the problem.
Notice we are not instructed to talk about it; The Word says
SAY TO THE MOUNTAIN…
SHOULD I SHARE MY PROBLEMS?
Yes! Share with people that need to know about the
problem; those higher in authority; but don’t magnify the
problem when doing this.
12. Many of our
Mountains are
not moving
because we are
not speaking
Jesus did not deny the fact there would be mountains or
that there are mountains but what are you doing about it?
SPEAK TO THAT MOUNTAIN TODAY!
Say:
• This body is healed!
• These debts are cleared
• I am a success in this examination
• I enjoy favour
• I am working in power and victory
…say whatever you need to say to that mountain…
SPEAK TO THAT MOUNTAIN TODAY!
13. “
”
If your faith cannot move your
mouth, it cannot move your
mountain

Faith and Confession go hand-in-hand.
If you believe, therefore you speak.
14. Even our
salvation is
gotten via
confessing what
we believe
(Romans 10:9-10)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
(Romans 10:9-10)
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written,
I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe,
and therefore speak;
(2 Corinthians 4:13)
15. “
”
…that at the name of Jesus every
knee should bow, of things in
heaven, and things in earth, and
things under the earth;
PHILIPPIANS 2:10 KJV
We have the name of Jesus to ourselves; we just need to use it by faith.
Speak to that mountain in the name of Jesus
16. Remember there
will always be
mountain BUT…
(John 16:33)
“…In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good
cheer; I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)
*** YOU SPEAK TO YOUR MOUNTAINS!
*** YOU PRAY TO (COMMUNE/FELLOWSHIP WITH) GOD!
AFTER YOU PRAY TO GOD; FACE YOUR MOUNTAINS!
17. “
”
…all things are possible to him
that believeth.
MARK 9:23 KJV
All things, not some things or a few things but ALL THINGS are possible to him that believes.
19. “
”
For verily I say unto you, That
WHOSOEVER SHALL SAY unto this mountain,
Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and SHALL NOT DOUBT in his heart,
but shall believe that those things which he saith shall
come to pass;
he shall have whatsoever he saith.
MARK 11:23
I HAVE WHAT I SAY…
IF YOU SAY FOR ME, IT’S GOOD, BUT IT REALLY MIGHT NOT GET TOO FAR,
BUT WHEN I SAY WHAT I HAVE TO SAY, BELIEVING I HAVE WHAT I SAY, THEN I HAVE WHAT I SAY.
