Emmelyn has lived and worked in Silicon Hills for the past 15+ years at companies including IBM and SMSC. She is an alumnae of The University of Texas. While earning her M.A. with a Major in Technical Communication (TC) from Texas State University, she specialized in international and cross-cultural TC. She also champions content strategy, usability, and localization best practices and teaches TC at the college level. She served as the most current past President of the Austin STC. She worked on the Product Development team at Volusion to deliver a WOW experience for those consuming API documentation. Emmelyn is now the developer and API advocate at uShip and supports partner integrations.
