A family rented a house owned by the mayor’s mistress in a

enough for them. His father is an engineer and his mother is a tutor in
playing piano.
In summer, his mother left every day for her piano tutorials and
their housemaid Ludy went home to Albay, so he experienced doing
the household chores alone and studying for summer classes he’d
attend in a university, and then in the blue hour before dusk, he would
pick up a red plastic pail and walk five houses away to the street corner
to fetch water. But on his way back to fetch water again, a young man
was standing at the head of the line. The young man let him to fetch
water first. And while fetching the water he is looking surreptitiously at
the young man’s hairy legs. When the young man mumbled that his
name is Rene, he just smiled and walked away afraid of saying that he
likes Rene.
7. He enrolled at the university with two courses, Business Statistics
and Financial Accounting because his father said that that course can make
them rich but the only thing he wanted is to draw. Every day he is experiencing
the toughness of commuting to go to his school. While reading his book on the
bus when he raised his face, he saw Rene coming. He noticed that Rene was
stressed so he moved to the right side of his seat to see Rene clearly and he
wanted to sit behind him and comfort him but someone with halitosis sat
beside him.
As he was sitting on the front yard, he is imagining some features of
men. Then, while having a cup of coffee, he opened the door and heard the
oncoming rain. He noticed that the people outside were tense it is because of
Agua de Mayo or the first rains of May.
He opened his mouth and let the rain’s tongue roam inside him, while
its fingers travelled downward, on his inner arm and his chest. He knew what to
do, he would soap himself in the bathroom, rinse his skin clean, change into
fresh clothes that smell good and are crisp to touch. Then he would look for his
sheets of Oslo paper in his drawer. He would run his fingers on his sketches of
Rene but Lucy told him that Rene will join his mother who is working abroad at
states. But he is still at the boy’s heart.
