2.  HEADLINES
 Gold rises marginally by Rs 20, silver sheds Rs
300:
A divergent trend was seen in the bullion market here
today as gold gained Rs 20 to Rs 29,650 per 10 grams
on firm global cues, while silver lost Rs 300 to Rs
52,250 per kg on poor demand. Silver coins also
declined by Rs 1,000 to Rs 61,000 for buying and Rs
62,000 for selling of 100 pieces.
 Oil near $92 as weak demand, Iran tensions
weighed:
Benchmark crude was down 56 cents at $92.10 a barrel
at midday Bangkok time in electronic trading on the
New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract surged
$2.79, about 3 percent, to settle at $92.66 in New York
on Thursday, its highest level since mid-May.
 Lead futures weaken on global cues:
Lead prices traded marginally lower by 0.61 per cent to
Rs 105.35 per kg in futures trade today as speculators
offloaded their positions on the back of weak global
trend. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for
delivery in July declined by 65 paise, or 0.61 per cent,
to Rs 105.35 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,044
lots.
