 The choppiness associated with F&O expiry are at play as after gaining for two consecutive trading sessions, the In-
dian equity markets ended near day’s low on Wednesday. After opening with minor gains, indices were unable to
hold on to their gains as profit booking dragged Nifty to close below the 7900 mark.
 The BSE Sensex opened at 26,124, touched an intra-day high of 26,130 and low of 25,939. It finally ended with a loss
of 119 points at 25,960. The NSE Nifty opened at 7,939 hitting a high of 7,945 and low of 7,889, before ending with a
loss of 33 points at 7,896.
 Nifty failed to surpass the previous day’s high and remained under pressure throughout the day. However, due to lack
of activity, it remained in a narrow band and ended 35 points lower. Nifty futures settled at a premium of 6 points.
India VIX rose 1.4% to 14.43
 FIIs bought | 152 crore while DIIs sold | 74 crore in the cash segment. FIIs bought | 331 crore in index futures and
sold | 227 crore in index options. In stock futures, they sold | 251 crore
 The highest Put base is at the 7500 strike with 47 lakh shares while the highest Call base is at the 8000 strike with 86
lakh shares. The 7900 and 8000 Call strikes saw additions of 2.2 and 5.3 lakh shares, respectively. The 7900 and 7800
Put strikes saw reductions of 5.1 and 4.9 lakh shares, respectively
 Nifty Future: The Nifty is likely to open flat on the back of mixed global cues. It is likely to trade in the range of 7850
-7970. Sell Nifty in the range of 7935-7940 for targets of 7905-7885, stop loss: 7955
 Bank Nifty Future: The index continued to struggle around the level of 17000. We may see short covering above
17000 whereas, on the lower side, the recent low of 16650 is likely to provide a cushion for expiry. Buy Bank Nifty in
the range of 16730-16780, targets: 17000-17100, stop loss: 16650
