Functional Skills replace Key Skills and include separate funding for each skill. They will be included in college success rates and monitored by Ofsted. All learners must complete the appropriate level Functional Skill qualification by March, except those taking additional qualifications, and level 3 vocational learners will complete all three skills. College heads of department will confirm which specific Functional Skill and level each current learner will complete.
